its the 8-400 that i would like, have spoke to alex about said machine. i would of bought one straight off the stand a couple of years ago, and signed the dotted line, but as my personal circumstances have changed aswell as the current market i am glad i didnt. i am going to do it the old fasioned way and just save up, unless i could get an outlet for good chip or a contract chipping.

or buy one of these with full air brake system and a big trailer built to rd spec. didnt know about the 20mph max speed though(not the landy)

behind the photographers back(about 15feet from the tree)was a delapidated victorian house.the builders couldnt knock it down, the planning are making them keep the outside and rip out the middle. the tree would be in the way of massive supports to hold the outside up thats what i was told. The so called tree surveyer said it was over 300 years old. i guessed 90. i read that there isnt a sequoia or redwood older 164 on scotland.

i found that the machinery finds the work. i do loads of jobs for builders and gardeners now, its another string to the bow. its amazing where you can get into if it is going to save a bit of handballing. I used to use other folk for backhanders but you always had to work around them, or they would let you down. but i think working round the landrover will limit the crane idea. hey i could sell you a mog to go with my trailer.

there was a guy at the highland show who had a small crane with power pack on a road trailer, i think he was at the apf as well. looked excellent. i tried to buy one off the stand 2 years ago but he wouldnt sell it because he couldnt get it to work properly. he had just got it imported a few days before, so he was honest enough to not just sell me it untill he had it checked out. it had barn doors and you could add bolsters. the only thing was the weight, but it was only a landy that could legally cover the load. it was about 4k. they were canadian. his enquiry book was like the yellow pages. maybe someone here has a contact.

its having the bottle to shimy down while that bad boy is above you. i think its a bit like the axemen triple felling windblow. i wonder why so many loggers get hurt?
