  1. I bought a roofmount last year, and straight away the comunication with groundstaff was a nightmare, the lad i got the tractor from had helmets made up with built in headsets and mikes. The difference was amazing, not even in tractor work but everything. we use them all the time. Climbing with them is excellent. like most i am the boss, but i am usually up the tree. i am not one for shouting on site because i hate that. but being able to comunicate all the time is so much more productive and safe. Especially when you have someone new out. Even reversing into driveways or sending someone to get something from the van, no more wandering back saying i couldnt find it, you just instruct them what to do from the other side of the house or site. All in all one of the best buys i have ever made.
  2. you must have picked up on my comment on the toddler paint insident posted yesterday, either that you are a psychic. well done anyway mate. i think the border is the most popular between cutters and gamies. everywhere i go with kumba(single mother terrier) she always causes a fuss. or she dissapears chasing anything with a pulse, and i spend most of the day looking for her, but she always comes back totally delighted with herself. how can you be mad.
  3. border terrier mother. we thought it was my gsp that fathered it, but when they came out black we were sure it was my mates springer. we gave all the pups away as i have 3 dogs(wanted to keep one but mrs said no as she was expecting) but i saw one the otherday and it looks like a minature long haired pointer. cracking looking dog. really bouncy and fun but still had that border have a go spirit.
  4. any ideas what made these. we thought we knew at first, then we changed our mind when they were born, now they are 6 months old, i am back to my original horny culprit.
  5. hey dean, didnt mean any harm yesterday. i see what you mean about text coming over differently. i looked at it last night and i did sound arrogant, so i apologise. it sounds great in your head, everyone on here so far is really cool and i am enjoying all the banter and input. having a meeting with buzz tomorrow about chip and stuff. sorry again if we got off on the wrong foot. stevie

  15. i had a woman one day wind me up that much how the last time i had been there she had to repaint her house, clean out her gutters and get someone to valet her car. i had never worked in the street in my life. she was old so i bit my tongue because i was brought up to respect my elders. so i jumped in the mog and fired up the chipper and was going to take my rage out in a pile of laurel. but i hadnt taken my kit out the hopper(tp250)we used to store it there because it saved lifting it in and out the back. i lost an 026,full climbing bag.and a 25inch bar of the 046. oh and a set of blades. i think that cost me about 1500quid. old cow
