  2. no mate, thats down at a c prices yard. mogs do like a bit of recreational time too:001_smile:
  3. sorry huck, i got drunk last week and they got the information out of me. it wasnt pretty but they broke me. sorry:blushing:
  4. now you know why i wanted to move to the cairngorms mate, pitty my plan didnt work out. spoke to my mate today, he holidays every year in cornwall for 2 weeks, he said it is well cool. might need to gate crash you mate
  5. thats only because you deflated them dave and disasembled the main housing.
  6. she is loaded up awaiting delivery on tuesday, not long to wait.i am really happy with the paint job:001_smile:
  7. you get lifters and loaders bbb, hucks is a lifter(hiab) the one on my roofmount is a loader. mowi are good, but you will pay a small fortune for a new one and there is quite a waiting list. i could never bring myself to pay 9k for a mowi 300 or 11k for a 400. and that was 4 years ago. what are your plans mate, whats it for?
  8. hi guys, i was down at capel last week, your country side is lovely but you just cant see it because it is so flat. heres a couple of pics that i know monkey d and mick will appreciate.
  9. good job mate, elvis is excellent. what have you used to put that finish on it. very smooth looking
  10. is there an update after last nights investigation?
  11. well said mate, see Matt its not just me:001_smile:
  12. i think there is a by law that lets you drive that on the opposite side of the road in reverse, its a pitty the tyres are missing. and they didnt galvinise the shafts. but the fuses look ok, but the picture is poor. hard to tell without pollaroid glasses, the reflection makes it hard to make out. and i think the side screens are tinted
  13. i noticed that straight away and i am a novice in the field, it was very obvious. but fake or not the magnitude of the work and engineering is priceless
  14. i wreckon if it was converted to lpg and put on an agricultural tax class it would be much more tempting to put it into production, rather than just tweak the prototype
  15. good on ya mate, proper job. i bet you were glad when you heard that big thud when it hit the deck. lovely looking butt by the way:001_tt1:
  16. i think the most nerved i have ever been is removing big leaning oaks, when you get loads of weight off them they start to straighten themselves and twist, or if a small branch has grafted onto a big one, you cut it off and the larger drops and moves:scared1:but all part of the job, thats what makes it interesting, get the heart pumping:001_cool:
  17. no need for a new section mate, if some one gives you a cocky answer they will soon get put in their place. -i am learning new stuff every day, now i know what vt is aswell:001_cool:
  18. its all about guts and experience, if you havent done dead elms before then it is only natural to be wary, i served my time on them, they were one of the first trees i ever climbed, so i had no option, climb or go home. not saying i wasnt bricking myself and not saying i am never going to be nervous again, but its all part of the job, in some situations you have to try new things, by the looks of that tree i would do it all with a 046. quick for slash cuts and plenty lenght on the bar for reaching out and cutting and steering the branch with the nose of the bar.
  19. i have always found that balls the size of large oranges are quite sufficient:001_tongue:you can always go higher, or get better at aiming:cool1:be the tree
  20. someone has just rubbed out the bottom half of the tree, i reckon. the branches arent proportional to the size of the tree, and why would the bottom branches be bending down the way. its set up jus
  21. i used to do the same thing, but all i did was wreck my pole saw and do big hedges too cheap. oh and my lower back didnt really like it much either:sad:
  22. now that is a big if!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. well done mate:sneaky2::001_smile:how many referalls steve, wee scott said he couldnt find the bit on the page to put my lovely name:thumbdown:or maybe he needs to open his eyes:001_tongue:
