  1. well i wasnt going to jump on this thread and derail it, but everyone else seems to be. get a greenmech and a pole pruner simon and forget the hangers on, i started at 11am and finished before 5 pm. yeehaa:thumbup:
  2. lets just say the shaft on my bulldog rake isnt as long as it used to be:blushing:
  3. if you dont have one of these yet, then you really should get one. i introduced the little fella to conifer today, thick juicy stuff too, it did the side stuff with ease, just needed a little push with a pokey stick, it ate the 3-4 inch stuff easily, holly wasnt a problem and didnt drop a rev with cherry or rowan. thankyou greenmech. no more dragging brash or sweeping driveways. i usually take a full mog load out this garden every 18months, you can only see a small corner of the rear garden, the customers are delighted with their mulch and new discounted price. and i make more on the job aswell. this was usually a 3 man job with mog and chipper that took 4 hrs, i did it myself with ease in under 5 hrs with 2 coffee breaks and lunch aswell:thumbup:
  4. you would need to get all the stumps to roadside for that matt, which means a dumper or forwarder of some kind, there aint nothing cheaper than a match i reckon
  5. sorry to hear that, hope it turns up soon
  6. i just told my wife someone had donated an air guitar, she said ' have they 'oh i am going to enjoy this he he
  7. mulchers were starting to get used less and less with us on sites up here because the builders were fed up with 2 feet oh hag plus huge root plates gud up later on, i had to send a guy back to a job with his fendt for a monster lime butt, luckily he did it free of charge as it was local, and i had problems on another site as the builders thought it would be a good idea to fell all the trees with a d9, guess how deep thoses coppiced willows were:sneaky2:
  8. any pictures of your felling cuts, it looks like you have done 2 huge gobs:001_cool:, big old tree that. what will it get used for??
  9. i am sure there are loads of stories going around the world about police and the law doing good. i would hate to think what the world would be like with out them. you have been unfortunate mate, that is for sure. dont be bitter or stop having faith in society. the media love to focus on doom and gloom, keeps us all scared. the police in our town have really cracked down on drug dealers and junkies, they are always out and about and never far away. lets hope we never need to call on them. chin up, oh sorry:blushing:. put a brave face on it and treasure your family and life even more after your lucky escape. take care:001_smile:
  10. have you tried in at thomsons the blade sharpening folk that sell husky and lawnmowers in forres, across the railway track beside the massive removal companies depo. the guy in there is really nice and helpfull, i bet he has a few carcasses under the bench
  11. mulchers will go down about a foot i think, it would be a quick blitz but you will spend a lot on mulchers and there could be some comeback on roots later on, if the ground is soft then the machines will just push the stumps and roots deeper. if you could dig them out and sack them then grind them later or get them to a power station. even chip all the brash like edd did on the lakes job.
  12. firewood mark, takes a bit longer to dry but just split it asap, or carvers like it too
  13. i think you mean acronym huck:001_tt2:
  14. he has managed to do all his usual 7 days climbing in 2 days tommer, so he might aswell get some extra cash hiring it out
  15. you are some kind of deren brown magician simon, how did you know his name????????????????????lol
  16. lucky escape there mark, you should of got a mewp in, i think huck has a contact for a good company lol
  17. i can never understand it, always folk looking for work, but when you need someone there is never anyone about. good luck mat
  18. i just watched your cypress video on face book buzz, tell me again how much you charged for that.lol they were monstors, when people talk about 100foot trees i usually chuckle, then i saw you up those trees, well done, lesson learnt i bet. and that drag out the garden, nightmare mate
  19. put a brush shaft across your shoulder blader, hold it shoulder width apart, space your feet the same, now try and do a squat not letting your soles of your feet leave the ground, see how far you can go down. on thursday i couldnt get lower than about a foot, now my arse can hit my heels.
  20. your wife is right mate, ditch the crappy orange thing and get a big stihl into your life.
  21. i think too much support has caused my problems, it doesnt let you be flexible, so the base seizes up and the rest of your back has to compensate.
  22. you will love the geckos mate, now get saving for the sequioa harness aswell.
  23. keep your throwbag clean and get the spikes on tom, it just a chrimbo tree lol
  24. have you ever seen some of his earlier stuff, i found one ages ago i can only presume it was this guy. he knocked a monster head out a huge gum tree, as he knocked the chain break on he untied his flip line, jumped back and dropped about 15 feet and was caught with his main line. it was nuts, but truely awesome to watch.
