  1. i havent heard back from my mate about the spikes yet, i think he is ignoring me.

  2. hi stevie, my mate that i gave the spikes to years ago hasnt returned my text, i will try him again tomorrow.

  3. howdy, the chipper that was on my valmet before i bought it was the same, it had the top roller conversion. my tractor has a camera on it for when they were feeding it.(blind spot they said) it has a pile of weights on it. mine is the 8950.

would love one but not got the money or the work to justify it to be honest but if the woodfuel pics up in my area then thats the chipper for me. cheers for the invite, same to you if you are ever up this way mate. stevie

  4. thanks very much mate, no need. i like the card spot on, it will go on the wall in the container.

    cheers stevie

  5. hi mate, did you send me a card. i couldnt make out the signature?

  6. sounds like you froze your balls off today mate.

  7. totally forgot mate, sorry. i have just texted my mate who has them, so hopefully get them tomorrow.

weather is good, i think we will miss the snow hopefully. it is nice to look at but a pain in the arse.

    stevie

  8. you might as well, i lost 42k in 18months a few years ago chopping and changing cars.

  9. too much money sitting in the yard not making money, that was my plan when i went down the valmet route, glad i downsized a few years ago. If it sells it sells. any luck with the merc?

  10. hi mate, how do you like the hiezo? thats on my wish list. i have only heard good reports on them.

    stevie

  11. no bother, distance is a pain in the arse. especially with bigger kit. i would sell the hiab on my trailer that i am selling seperately. If you want a lifter then that will do the job. i want 2k for it.runs off the hydraulics. lifts 4ton close in 1 ton full stretch 22feet.much more value for money.

  12. not sure, i will look at the plate on it, it was always just hedge cuttings and pallets when it was on the ducker.

i think it weighs about a ton. but that is a guess. maybe a bit more.

  13. yes it fits straight onto the 3 point linkage and just works off the hydraulics ticking over. its got a really good reach.

if you look up ducker shredder on google you will see what the crane came off. it is a roof crane. thats wht we made it so tall to get the best out it. on the other side below the crane it has eyes for 3point attachments because we made it up for feeding the chipper. i would think its ideal for a firewood processor

  14. you dont want to know how much that has cost me in total to buy and build. but you live and learn. its a cracking crane and it is well built but just too heavy for my original plan, and now i have valmet i dont need it.

what are your thoughts about it, do you have a use for it?

  15. dont touch freelander, they had to recall a lot of them coz of the cylinder head.

    and its a landrover.

  16. hi rich, my email is [email protected]

thanks, still in the enquiry stage about these alpine tractors so any info helps

    cheers stevie

  17. hi mat, looked at job today. it was a 100 foot sequioa now 50 feet.

the folk are minted, range rover sport and porche in the log shed. 3 great danes running wild. have priced and i am waiting to hear back, could be potential to a weeks work.

so that one i owe you buddy. keep you posted. stevie

  18. Hi dean, the nfu confirmed the quote in writing 583, so job done. What a difference compared to 5 years ago.hope all is well. Stevie

  19. hi mate, just having a nosy, Was hoping for some mogy photos in your albums.

  20. Can you manage a week on monday, you and groundie. Nothing coming off site. E mail me your insurance details.

    [email protected]

If you have any jobs on until then, i would rather come and meet you and see you work. stevie

  21. Hey Martin, i live in Largs.

    Where are you based?

  22. you have a lovely family there mate, they must be really excited about santa. hope you have a good chrimbo and all the best for 09. stevie

  23. hi dave, the fabricator made it far too heavy. it is solid and well made but over engineered.

by the time i put on the chipper, it was too heavy for the mog. it will lift it no bother but i would have to add weights to the front. but i made it 2 yrs ago and since then i have bought a valmet roofmount.

it is a cracking crane, i was going to keep it and maybe use it for a firewood processor that you could self load.

but hey, i have enough stuff lying around.

i would take 3k for it, because that is what i need to clear the original loan on the shredder.

if you are close feel free to come for a look. i am in largs, 30 miles sw of glasgow.cheers
