  1. Tell me about it. The machine I'm looking at is half the price, in miles better condition, lower hours and 4 years newer.
  2. My new old one will provide that length; can box the whole thing with damaged section that you can remove and post if you want?...
  3. Thanks for that. Why is the same machine in Sweden half the price of UK / Eire / Europe ?!
  4. Thinking of importing a machine from Sweden... 25% vat - reclaimable? Any other red tape? Cheers.
  5. Forget weight!!! (after buying in hardwood roundwood); it's all volume after that. Wasting your time and energy even thinking about weight.
  6. Right on. The dawn chorus this past week has been beautiful.
  7. Morbark ARE in the UK???
  8. Beautiful clear sunny weather, blue skies, cool but pleasant. Maybe this is the beginning of the heatwave! No rain until November lol. Sublime and ridiculous.
  9. Richard Court. Morbark - wish they were in the UK. I have an old Morbark 10-20 drum chipper and what a machine! For what it is, it will last forever.
  10. Insa Turbo's are remoulds are they not?
  11. 6" nail for stirring tea. Ratchet straps for "get out of jail" winch. Logs for axle stands Stirling board to turn a forwarder into a dumper Trailer ramps for car ramp. Beech wedges made "in wood" climbed old quarry cliff faces using Mums washing line when I was a kid lol. must be loads of heath robinsons I've forgotten
  12. I'd have thought it had a central fill point for the whole system. Does your slew have a curved piece of steel under the drain nut? There is no fill in the slewing cylinder of that I'm sure; only got the 810D manual so maybe a call to JD of JASP? My fill for the whole system is under the hood and the dipstick under the cab.
  13. 8 Robots That Will Haunt Your Soul | Watch the video - Yahoo Yahoo UK
  14. I'm a size 12 but Stihl size 10 wellies are more than big enough.
  15. HSE were behind it I thought as per: UK FISA - The Forest Industry Safety Accord "you sort it or we'll do it for you"... Yes, arbs with no forestry / timber experience as you say; there are no fisa assessors south of exeter (yet).
  16. Major health hazard
  17. Eddie, I forgot to mention that we finally sourced a power pack solution co. Ranging from 45 to 150hp, kubuto engines feature plus an iveco - think we'll avoid that one! 100L/min 280 bar 75hp circa £15k...
  18. JBM ??? Spanner in the works
  19. But firewood is sold at 5% ...? So you're 15% up buying in roundwood + 20%, and then selling logs + 5%.
