  1. Nice bro. How long did you spend picking up pine cones?
  2. Just done a chubby pine tree on a bank with about 10 houses directly below it. I priced the job for 2 days, and said I would remove the wood, but it would take an extra full day. For some reason that only I know, I then phoned the client back that evening and said I would split all the wood and it would only take half a day. Anyway finally got out after 5 days, but done an awesome job. When I explained to the client that I had underpriced the job and would she mind paying extra, she met me half way with the bill and gave me half the wood. Most people appreciate a good job and dont want you working for nothing.
  3. so why did your anchor fail?
  4. I've only used one on the ms200, but i think they are ok. I think it depends on your saharpening.

    Butter??

Ive heard that butter works mate. Havent tried it myself, but was thinking about giving it a go. Might wait and see how yours turns out before i try though.
  6. Hey bro you know how youve got that time off and your splicing me that prussic............
  7. At least I'm young.....er.
  8. I'll give it a go i guess. I'm finding that 8mm AP is either biting too hard or creeping, its sweet most of the time, but I find I'm often checking and dressing my knot I thought the 10mm might be a bit easier to get on with.I'm getting a bit fatter aswell.
  9. I want to try out some Ocean polyester or bee line. Been on the AP for a while now and still seem to spend half my life mucking about with my knot. Want to give the 10mm a try aswell, but need some spliced eyes because knots will be to bulky for the HC.
  10. Why does that look crap? I reckon it looks simple easy to use and functional. I bet its cheaper than a rope guide and easier to install from the ground.
  11. Ha Ha See what santa brings me mate. Just bought a house so the climbing gear budget just got even smaller.
  12. I reckon that looks good. How much?

    Lanyard

10mm donaghys basic polyester rope. Its rated high enough and is cheaper to replace, my lanyard seems to get so dirty and pulled that I need to replace it quite often so for me its not worth spending a lot on one. I use an old 13mm blue streak lanyard for the bigger or sappier stuff. i use a VT on mine seems to be sweet.10 mm definateley nicer to climb with.
  14. Big shot? How longs your rope?
  15. Dude! throttle quadrant? Please forgive my lack of knowledge here I really appreciate your help but I am no mechanic. I have tried messing with a set screw, but not really helping hold the throttle in place, I thought the cable might have stretched and needs shortening a tad, but nervous about doing things without really being sure what the problem is. Thanks for the replies guys.
  16. Looking good Bro. Would you have to be quite careful with where you put your knot? You dont want to run out of rope going out on a limb, but you still need enough tail to retrieve it? Or am I being a bit slow......again?
  17. Cheers mate. I'm actually in New zealand and i will contact the dealer over here, just thought it might be something someone has come across before. Its not a major problem, but it means you have to keep walking to the front of the chipper to push the throttle up when your chipping bigger stuff.
  18. I have a bandit 65xp, I bought it brand new a year or so ago and it is an awesome machine. Recently the throttle has started to back off a fraction, so the autofeed is struggling to re-engage the rollers once they stop. It is a 35hp vanguard motor and i was wondering if anyone knew if there was an adjustment on it to tighten the throttle up a bit. I have checked the manual, but no luck. I am trying to avoid the old tie it up with a bungy look. Cheers.

That work climb was tricky bro, you were one of the few that completed it in time. I think the rescue was the one that undid ya, but that happens when your in the first group to go. More climbers completed the rescue towards the end once they knew how to do it. Was an awesome day though and big ups on the 16 seconds thats lightning man. Guiness was good too, but I'm still paying for the 5am finish on sunday.
