  4. I too have thought about this a couple of times, especially as i naffed my back up twice last year and im only 25! Caused me to have a fair bit of time off work and got me thinking about wot if it was more serious? My boss is now looking into a policy where its taken out your wages each week. Ive always just thought its just a waste of money too. Just keep eatin painkillers like skittles and get on with it haha
  5. Sorry if i implied that people dont know wot a pollard is.I meant to typemore after that saying im not sure why they've split . They are in a row about 500 metres long but only these 3 have split open and the other pollards seem alot taller. They do look bloody marvellous though:001_tt1:

  10. Cant see no poll mate? We are gettin alot better with our paper work these days but it seems that every time we jump trough one hoop there's another one to jump through?
  11. We dont sell a fat deal, most of ours goes to alotments and we just get a shed load of fruit, veg and eggs which i quite like.
  12. Nice work, looked tidy and under control.
  13. Not a bad idea that mesterh,cheers:001_smile:
  14. I did consider the crane option but it would have to be a huge crane just for the outreach to be able to get over the roof. Would of been ideal though. Thouht about asking the hospital if we could borrow one of those electric buggie things like highland mentions. Put all the mess into ton bags and drive it out the front door? Then just track the stump grinder through on some kind of ply and sheet combo? Have never done anything like this before and am just a bit unsure wot you can and cant do.
  15. Evening all,had to price a job today to remove some shrubs and grind out 3 or 4 small stumps. The problem is they are in a court yard in the middle of a hospital and the only access is through the hospital! We've got to go through the main reception and then down about 200 metres of corridor. We can close the corridor but obviously not the reception and we cant make any mess wot so ever. Has anyone done anything like this and if so wot did you use to cover the floor? If not as anyone got any ideas? Cheers in advance.
  16. The tree officer that i deal with mostly is very good and really knows his stuff. I still disagree with some of his decisions sometimes, but im sure if he could climb he would probably disagree with the way i do things sometimes? Top and bottom is i climb and he looks after the councils trees which is two totally different jobs.
  17. Wot he said haha
  18. Cant stand the bloody things personally but i hear the timberland ones are preety good?
