Dealt with HB a few weeks ago definately worth the drive got plenty of deals and the lowering rope was great. few weeks later went to my semi local garden machinery store charged me more than his advertised price on internet for a helmet even kept asking are you sure its the best price you can do on that:sneaky2: wont be going back
  6. Great chippers and relatively light in comparison to the other "large" chipper. We are also running a carlton ox cant remember the number really love the twin rollers with hydaulic yoke so you can lift and apply pressure on rollers with just a lever, down side is weighs half a ton more than vermeer

    Two 361s at work and the exhausts have fallen off not sure if its cos they are american, we dont have a choice just get given crappy american stihls (no offence america). They just dont seem as good even the 200t have a different weird exhaust only good thing plenty or power when the exhausts fell off lol
  9. That sucks heard GA Butlers were done recently and they are based in newbury area just up the A34 hope he gets his stuff back
  10. Im doing my law paper next week and have been struggling with one past question which is one similar to my first exam. Explain the regulations, controls and legislation that must be considered by an arboricultural contractor during his day to day transportation, storage and/or disposal of arisings and materials. On my first exam i went down the lines of waste carriers license but now think they are wanting to know about COSHH, anyone suggest something i have missed many thanks ben

  12. Probably a bit late but think its an oil pump had the same with mine got told its very rare for it to happen to the 200 but i was unfortunately a part of the small percent then two weeks later oil seals went on the turbo hmmm expensive month
  13. Was good to catch up Will, i also found the thermal imaging quite interesting andrew cowan is doing a demo for a council and gristwood and toms on monday so i will hopefully get to see some results. Good luck with arley in a few weeks and look forward to hearing from you soon.

  16. when looking to do the HND i thought it would have been mentioned to you that there was little or no practical, i believe that even in the ND practical is still quite limited considering its a two year course. I have to say its only through what i heard as having only completed the NC and now gradually getting through the tech cert (resits in dec) I took my brother out for a climb the other week to see what he made of it all as he might be after a career change but then i thought you really need the get up and go for this job even wet cold hot what ever the weather i find you have to be quite self motivated.
  17. i have an astra van y reg good motor the 1.7 turbo will do 550miles for about 45 quid thank you please and that with most of my life in the back and the bad thing is head gasket on its way out noooo

  19. At least three pairs of stretch airs (the hi-viz ones) have all gone in the crotch same zip problem some groundies have to wear them for certain contracts i will stick to the stihls thanks
  20. i love vermeer would like the 935 as its a capable machine although the 625 is a good 6incher. Stay well away from the bc150 lots of electrics with lots of problems. must say i dont own my own company just what we use at work
  21. Thought i would have a crack at some footlocking just wearing my normal hiax work boots but found sometimes get some slipping on the arch of my foot wear the heel raises. I doubt i will be entering any comps just yet will just paractice and get the jist of it. So finally my question is for anyone entering do you guys prefer boots, chainsaw boots, trainers etc or is it just whatever you practice in you get used too?

  23. It is a bit of money because you have to do the class c then c+e but i managed to do each test with 4 days of driving then the test on the fifth so two weeks, but i was lucky as comany paid for it. Definately worth doing so you know your all legal for the road
  24. Try complete tree care there is a company just outside of portsmouth looking but it might be railway work worth a shot though
