The simple answer is, pay for what you want. Couldn't careless about putting others backs up, just dont wanna pay for other peoples indugences whether it be for kids, cars or flashy furniture. If you want it pay for it.

Me aswell Dean. I just ignore divs these days for that very reason. I can remember a div a short while back that came screaming through traffic on a motorbike and his mirror hit mine so I bibbed him, the idiot stopped and strolled over to my window with some soppy looking skull face mask on and offered to break my neck......not wanting to offer violence because of my fac I told him, "fine, go ahead , dont let me stop you"......the div turned on his heels and jumped back on his bike......

I don't get stressed over ignorant divs anymore.... life is too short and I have better things to get on with.....

What a load of old twoddle, the sooner it's scrapped the better. Why should some people receive extra dosh because they choose to have kids ? If you can't afford to have them then dont, and stop expecting the rest of us to pay for em.

Blimey 61 posts in and you're all going on about the wcl. This thread was only intended to warn people that the EA can and will fine people for not having a transfer notice. You can argue all you like to the EA, infact twenty years ago I'd of done the same thing but as the years roll by I'm getting a bit mellow so these days I just can't be bothered.......Good luck with trying to change things and if you do manage it and I benefit from it then I'll make a fat donation to Arbtalk.... -

Yeah I put this point to them aswell but all it would really achieve is (considering you won the case) a saving of the wcl fee, you'd still have added paperwork so what's the point ? The fact is they can now fine you for not recording the transportation of arisings if they wish to do so. -

I pointed out to them that sometimes I only see the client once and so I cannot get a signature everytime. Their response was, so long as we can see you're making an effort we wont fine you..... -
I got pulled by the police today and checked over by them and the EA. The Transit was okay apart from a small hole in the exhaust which I was told to fix and given a producer for, fair enough no problem, I thanked the copper for pointing it out. The EA was a different matter though, I had a small amount of chip and wood on the back which they deem as waste, no problem as I produced a waste carriers licence. What did surprise me though is that they could have fined me for not having a record of addresses that I had taken 'waste' from. Now I have to get every customer to sign a docket to say I have removed their 'waste' or risk a £300/£180 fine the next time I'm stopped. When I asked the inspector why he hadn't fined me he said that he was feeling kind.
