  1. :lol:That is brilliant, made my day that has. At last things are changing, let's hope they scrap tax credits next.......brilliant, absolutely brilliant
  2. Spill the beans then Johnny, how much ?
  3. I dont like Petzl and I am fast going off my Stein, it's falling to bits and I only bought it in spring. I'm going back to Edelrid for my next lid.
  4. "Some of it is mine" is saying that some of the money they are spending is some of the money I have paid in income tax.
  5. Thanks for that Stevie I'm happy with my thread title but in hindsight I should have added some more to the thread itself. Like Dave D pointed out a few posts back that we had spoke about this a few months ago at work and he knows full well that I am not opposed to tax credits as such, so long as it's for the right purpose. There are so many people on it these days that it's just accepted as the norm and carry on their lifestyles without batting an eyelid when their spending money on crap they dont need and that aint really theirs to spend.....some of it is mine.
  6. Yeah of course he was wrong, he was probably on tax credits so had a wealth of gadgets and luxuries that he could have flogged to make up the grand and pay the pharmacist instead of breaking into his premises and risk getting caught and sent down which would have left his wife on her own......
  7. Yes, but that goes without saying.
  8. I wonder how many people that claim tax credits that they are not really entitled to were up in arms over the MP's expenses claims.
  9. I intend to work for as long as I can and then live off of my savings. I genuinely want nothing off no one, that way I dont have to answer to anyone.
  10. I bet if the truth was known there would be very few claimants that are actually entitled to it.
  11. Whining ? So having an opinion and voicing it on an open forum is whining is it. I'll remember that in the future. Why would I lie about something just to get a few quid off the government, no I want nothing off anyone, I have always paid my way in whatever I've done and love the fact that I aint and never will be a ponce.
  12. Apparently I am entitled to tax credits, all I have to do is I lie about my circumstances.
  13. Thats why we pay NI, for our medical needs should they arise. Why should I contribute to your or anyone elses kids ? You choose to have em so you pay for em. Why is that so hard for some people to comprehend ?
  14. I've never used the word scrounger in any of this Lorry. My whole point of this thread is, if you want kids then fair enough, just dont expect me to pay for em......atm though I dont have a say in it which imo is wrong.
  15. I pay what I have to by law. What do you pay?
  16. No I dont have kids Lorry, and two things are for sure, I am not gloating or trying to make anyone feel small at all.....why would I want to do that:confused1:
  17. Why is it a mistake ? Am I not entitled to an opinion or is it because I'm in the minority.
  18. Okay I should have said gross £100k, my mistake, I'm sure you've made a few in the past.
  19. I dont get it, by your own admission you earn in excess of £100k a year yet still need tax credits.....
  20. I'm obviously from a different era than most on here. Yeah I dont blame people for taking it if it's offered on a plate, to a degree, and I have been told that I would be entitled to £80 a month so long as I worked the system. Sorry not my style, I saw my dad work all his life and asked for nothing off no man.
  21. Fairplay to you FWM, and that's what it's intended for, not for the likes of some who keep their 'supposed working hours' to under sixteen hours a week in order to claim.
  22. :lol:Why do I get the feeling that most people that have posted on this thread are in receipt of tax credits.......
  23. Rubbish Andy, I've paid my stamp since I was sixteen so I'll take what's rightfully mine.
