  1. There is no way in the world that anyone on this earth can eat a 'full' breakfast at Maggies. Trust me.
  2. You're obviously a novice at this kind of stuff. Stay tuned to this forum and I'm sure you'll learn loads mate.....
  3. Aint gotta a clue John but I love your sense of humour......
  4. That's just got my goat, I've been with em for eighteen years so next year I'll cancel it and see if they offer me a discount. A few years ago Tesco hiked up my pet insurance by about 40% for no apparent reason and when I questioned it they dropped it back down again. Robbing thieving low life bastards now get nothing off me. They did me a favour though cos I started tucking away a fiver a week for each dog and since then we've only dipped into the dogs dosh once and we still have a fat wad in reserve incase they need it.
  5. Would you put your hands over a muzzle of a loaded weapon ?
  6. Don't worry about it, just use common sense as you would with firearms. I watched a fully trained operative check chain tension with the brake on but still with the motor runnning. Christ it's like standing with your hands on the muzzle of a loaded weapon and relying on the safety catch to work.
  7. Thanks for all your replies fella's, the wife is so worried about him she's in tears but she thanks you all aswell. This morning he was found in the street at 02.00 and now our whole lives have turned around cos he needs 24hr supervision. The wife is moving in with him tomorrow, I'd have him here but the bastard would be shaping up to me every five minutes..... You gotta laugh or cry.
  8. You're more than welcome Dave.....
  9. Quite agree or have done at least a couple of years in the forces where weapons handling would have been a day to day occurrence.
  10. Yeah I know exactly what you mean, there are very few people that I feel safe around. Whenever I'm out shooting with someone that I've never shot with before I find myself forever watching what they're doing and not really enjoying the shoot myself.
  11. I'm shocked at that Jelly, you for one know how safe I am around firearms.
  12. This is no joke Jelly. My father-in-law Sonny Mcbride was once a very well respected and well liked man and to see him scared and bewildered is very sad.
  13. My father-in-law has the onset of Alzheimers. If anyone else on here has ever dealt with it my wife n I would very much appreciate any advice.....
  14. You need to get a good system going then. You must be doing something wrong if you can't make a splitter work for you.
  15. Shame you can't make it Phil, I've got a Ginsters with your name on it. Nevermind it's out of date already so a few more days won't hurt, you can have it on the eight.... 28th is the day for anyone who wants to come along.
  16. I can lift a knife n fork when I'm in the cafe and that's all I need to do cos I leave the wife at the yard and tell her to call me when she's loaded the truck.
  17. The same has happened to mine. The mesh fell off aswell. I won't buy another.
  18. Save your back and get one of these. I've been splitting by hand for the last 28 years, bought one off Jonesie this year at a very good price and now I'll never go back to a maul or axe. Splitting by hand is a mug's game.
  19. Nice one. Never heard of him before, dy'a reckon he's any good ?
  20. Them Poles work hard n fast and cheap too. Got a contact number for him ?
  21. 27th to 30th inclusive. I'm not bothered which one of those as I'll arrange it to suit the majority. It'd be great if people could come, more the merrier.
  22. Over the break if anyone fancies it I'll do a shooting meet at my yard. I'm gonna get Dave D out for the day to have a plink and if there's enough people maybe we'll have a little comp for fun. Bring along your air rifles, rimfire rifles and shotguns and we'll have a get together with a bonfire and cook up a bit of grub. I'll get a couple of boxes of clays and bring and a trap for the shotgunner's.
  23. Nice one Justin.....
  24. Nice one Les...
  25. Beau.
