  3. Grab rotates just under the yellow sticker, headstock remains fixed but can tilt up or down. You can pick up a log like a battering ram and tilt so it stands up vertically.
  4. Busted. No further hornet attacks.
  5. You did well with a 3 today Doug.

  7. If you’re not prepared to commit yourself in here every day like the rest of us you should go off and start your own thread.
  8. These were European. Shame they had to go really, they aren’t usually a problem. Asian ones are a different matter, apparently they can kill up to 50 bees every day! I’d destroy those bastards without a thought.
  9. I know! Could have been a lot worse.
  10. Dropped a big oak this morning with a GRCS and 5:1 twin pull. A minute later Ross Smith got nailed by hornets on his arm and nose. Nest in a cavity about 25’ up, which he had climbed past to set the lines. Called in a mate who does pest control, no option but to spray them. You can just make out the larvae wriggling in the combs. Back tomorrow to bust up the stem. 80058ebd-8bd5-4b29-bf3a-ecb44a731694.mov

  12. You’ve taken the guard off you maniac!
  13. I would email Courant and see what they say.

  16. Or receiving a machine that’s about a foot long.
  17. I can just see that ending with you being a grand down in some Chinese account and receiving nothing.
  18. Klou supplied it with bollard and capstan mate. That Microbull hydraulic capstan does look handy. You can achieve the same effect by backing up the machine though, although not always ideal. 96ef8a93-70b1-4510-b7cd-333483329708.mp4

  20. They should have the balls to tell the public not to employ pikies to do tree work.
  21. Good shout Joe. Now I think about it that’s why I went for Kalimba instead.
  22. I’ve only got a bucket as well as the grab Tom. My Klou grab has a ball hitch and lowering bollard on it, which are both really handy.
  23. That’s totally normal, the splice in my Kalimba is the same. I presume some of the core strands are removed? @Tommy_B is that right?
