  2. Staged reduction is pretty pointless. If you have fully desiccated soil on shrinkable clay with a high PI, the soil will eventually return to it’s original volume whether the trees are removed in stages or in one hit. Or get chalara and die. Was the house there before the trees? Are the foundations substantial enough? Only a full structural engineers report will tell you. In our current climate we seem to get bone dry summers followed by months of flood. The soil is expanding and contracting with or without trees. Hopefully the report will indicate that they can be removed without problems, they look awful.
  3. Has the surveyor tested the plasticity index of the soil?
  4. If there’s going to be heave it will happen anyway when they get chalara and die.

  6. Of course the boats aren’t the only problem, but you have to admit they certainly don’t improve things either? Yesterday alone will cost us another Β£42m/year. Making greedy rich bastards pay their fair share AND stopping the boats aren’t mutually exclusive.
  7. I remember meeting a lad who used to be on here at one of Jonesie’s shows years ago. He stuck his hand out and introduced himself as β€˜Tractor262’.

  14. I was shorted Β£5k for a chipper by one of the main arb insurance players who advertise heavily. My mate was hit (container) and they paid out Β£8k for Β£40k’s worth of kit. You need locks, alarms, cameras, more alarms, more locks, 12b black powder mines, the list goes on. Never rely on one single thing. You are up against professional gypsies, sorry, thieves, who now have every tool at their disposal. Grinders, gas axes, tracker detectors, night vision etc. If they want it and it’s there, it’s gone. I’m not being a pessimist, but if you are putting all your kit in a container that’s in a yard β€˜with some locked gates’ and leaving trailers out in the open it’s not a question of β€˜if’, it’s a question of β€˜when’.
  15. Onlyfans training. It’s the only choice to make any money in this game.

  17. How secure is the yard? As in is there someone on site at night etc. and cameras, alarms, security fences etc.? If it’s just a container in a remote location I’d be extremely worried. Containers aren’t particularly secure to professional scum who have gas axes etc.
  18. Bastard immigrants will have nicked it, obviously.
  19. I think if you cut off a chickens head and post a pic of the blood splatter we could probably advise you better. I’m pretty sure insurance companies use something similar to determine their premiums for that year.

  22. I get you now. I clipped my flipline into a caritool once and leant back. Went arse over tit but luckily landed in a bush and only from about 10’, so only pride was damaged.
  23. Wishing you a full recovery mate. I’ve got to ask, why didn’t you descend on your main line?
  24. Got to be worth a go at that price! Good luck with it.
