  1. You never fail to disappoint me Mick[emoji851]
  2. After googling I see that I have incorrectly used a phrase.Detective Dempsey of the grammar police has caught me fairly and squarely ?? You are now officially my proof reader Mick??️‍?
  3. What a beautiful gesture and tribute to your late friend Gobbypunk.Such a special thing to do.
  4. It must be my brain Mick as I don't get it??? ?️‍?‍♂️
  5. And a fine figure of a Man you are too Mr Dempsey!?? The way I see i we are two ages. One Numerical based on our years alive and then a Biological age which can vary depending on health and vigour...much like a Tree?? I reckon 35 is a perfect age to start if you feel outdoor work that can be physically demanding is for you.Best of luck.
  6. From every angle it is a gift of Nature that has nothing to do with Media or current affairs. To me, this is the real world.??❤
  7. I love the Autumn. The colours, even the drop in temperature suits my Northern thick skin?
  8. It will deepen in colour further over the next few days
  9. My favourite Tree in the street. It never fails to disappoint.
  10. And now I have my favourite season to behold?????
  11. But for now I have new eyes and this year continues to be my best one for personal development. With all the spare time I am always finding new things to improve as well as plenty of exercise. It took a out four days for my eyes and brain to adjust to the progressive lenses and my first time outside walking was a bit of visual overload.Every thing at every distance was so sharp and defined but moving made me feel almost sea sick. Most bizarre feeling Almost like a drunken state (And I've actually almost forgotten that sensation). But now I almost forget I am wearing them.Being able to see everything all the time in High Definition is quite incredible. They also enhance everything at night so I tested them out on a night drive which was quite mind blowing! Amazing lenses that were worth every penny and I love my glasses.I never thought I would ever say that.I would even say that of all the changes or enhancements i have made over the last four years .....this was definately an "eye opener" ??? And right now I need to be extremely alert. My City's population grew by 20,000 last week with the arrival of the University students from all the corners of the Country and further. There are already over a thousand positive tests within their community in just a few days. Its just back to keeping myself completely distant from the world and making sure my folks are safe.Something I have been doing since March. But as always I am super positive don,t let anything get me down.I will swap the Gym for my bicycle and keep my head down...To end with I have to post this picture. It was the first thing i looked at up close whilst outside.I have stared at this great object hundreds of times in my life since I was a little boy but never seen it in such detail. The original which is almost 1,000 years old was replaced with this perfect replica 40 years ago but I still see it in the museum. It is one of the most recognisable and familiar things in the City to me but I have never seen it in such detail.
  12. I hear you Stubby and PeteB.Thanks for your responses but I,m fine with having to get checked in the future but it will be when I decide.I,m very difficult to get hold of and I may not even be in the U.K next year for a while. The whole eye testing experience was fascinating so if it does happen again in the future I shall probably be very happy to go.
  13. And they react to light conditions too?? I,m buzzin' have a great weekend Arbtalkers!
  14. Maybe a little over engineered but stranger things have been added to H&S over here recently.
  15. That's a very good point.Although solely as labourer brush type trousers should suffice you do get some folks who dive into wood and frantically cut too close to others then your legs can be in the firing line unfortunately.
  16. That,a a lovely lump of wood.A real focul point?
  17. 18. Zeiss durovision platinum with progressive lenses? It,s quite mind blowing how beautiful everything looks. The Trees forinstance are starting to look incredible?????and it's my favourite season
  19. Putting them on in the shop was like an epiphany moment?? everything I looked at whether near or far away was crystal clear. In fact it was quite overwhelming.Seems like I have saved the best till last.True focus to my world.
  20. And I recieved a couple of items free with them.Between getting the eye examination and the lenses being made and sent from Germany took only six days....
  21. Finally and after a couple of years of buying cheap reading glasses that didn't fit or last very long I am the proud owner of my first ever pair of prescription spectacles! That's everything on my list of things to enhance my life ticked off....the rest is up to me.
