But this was the first time working together along with her Partner Neil and Team of Will and Issac.

With the Arbshows being cancelled this year it has meant that I've missed seeing fellow Arbs and Arbtalkers and it's my only social event in the year but I did get to see my tree bestie Annalize for the last job of the year. We've known each other for a few years, catch up each show at the Pfanner stand Celebrated her birthday in the Lakes, even climbed a mountain together in a storm.

So whilst I am waiting for the big journey I have plenty of interesting things booked in.I used 2020 as a springboard.I,ve missed seeing my Grandchildren and my routine at the gym but have made the most of what I have been able to do.

And the comms came in very useful for both learning about what I was looking and via mobile getting information on assisting the ecologist.

And that single job has led to a whole different kind of work which doesn't necessarily involve a chainsaw. But still has some pretty cool kit.

I have known this tree all of my life as it grows at the top of our street.I was asked to take on the work subject to planning and a meeting with the tree officer. It took several months to get the go ahead due to lockdown etcetera.I organised the whole thing and it set me up for a few more jobs off the back of it.It was a great feeling overlooking the neighbourhood.

Hello Mr Gand. How nice to hear from you. It's been a few years my friend.Hopefully you will see in 2021..there is no hurry. And in the meantime I am forging ahead here. The latter part of this year has seen me going out on a limb and doing my own thing.

At the beginning of the year I decided to apply for a Passport 20 years after losing my old one for no other reason than it may come in handy one day...A week later an opportunity arose quite by chance that would require such a document....which arrived soon after....then closely followed by Covid-19. My Adventure of a lifetime would be put on hold for the foreseeable future.Luckily this opportunity will always be there and the longer I leave it the more special it will be and I am a very patient man.I have used this year to persue every other avenue whilst I wait for my destiny 🙂

This latter half of the year has been the most interesting for me.I shall sit down and sort through my pictures and get up to speed with my Arboricultural journal.I have ventured out on a limb into a whole new life which has seen significant changes for me.I have recently taken up an activity which I vowed I would never do and that is running.Something I hadn't done since I was a teenager. But after my first week I have found it easier than I thought. And what a high!...It is during desperate times that I become my most determined and pro-active and 2020 has been no exception. The Gym is re-opening today so the ten minute walk there may only take a couple of minutes now?♂️.....Again I appreciate everyone who reads this thread. It is just the ramblings of a keen as mustard Arborist but most of all I hope it may inspire anyone who may find themselves down on their luck...Double pumped after my Gym/jog and I love the dark mornings especially seeing the tree Tracey against the Cathedral.

What a lovely thread this is[emoji252] We certainly are a nation/Forum of dog lovers...Toby scanning the horizon as we look for a place to plant an unwanted Yew we saved up in Weardale.

Any more? I particularly like the hedgelaying pictures.
