  2. Thanks, I some times quickly draw the subject but mostly I collect images I like and then change and mix them up in my head' if that makes sense. A few more of it Finished.
  3. Yes, I'm in the Woodfest, its changed to an invitational event now, There is an email contact for Simon on the site who runs it, He's a nice bloke I'm sure he would put you in if you wanted a try, there is a few 30 minute speed carves each day if your that interested. Mind you they were twenty minutes last year,
  4. LoL, I don't mind seeing them again, works of Art! I see why you were excited, I love carved drapery. Did you say they were saw finished, are the shapes saw finished aswell.
  5. Still have not finished the Vole bench, fitting these in around working! had a commission for a chair to do for a pre school nursery by some one passing who loved the bench, also have another similar bench for someone who wanted this one! The Greenman Bench is staying where it is, I have added my website and phone number to it now, more pics next week, as my camera battery had died! Cheers, Tommy
  6. Thanks Rob, Si, They did not go for my price of milling it myself, and I think they are going for the contractors who are buying an Ash butt and are going to have it sawn at a mill! I like the sound of the Cedar boards, maybe if the price is ok they may go for it, + I would like it for myself!
  7. Hi, I like the sound of the Cedar, If you still have it what price are wanting for each board?

  8. Hi, I may have a couple of jobs for you, gateshead Council are wanting some felled butts with some of the brances left on for a park, I have sent her your web address to contact you.

Also, I don't know if you have seen my post for wanted sawn planks in the carving forum, but noticed on your site that you mill timber aswell, could you supply me with enough wood for the project?

  9. What if I bought an Alaskin and cut the planks myself and put them up green, would they split to badly?
  10. I only use outdoor decking oil so can't advise but I think I would go for the Tongue Oil
  11. I'm in Durham but working in hertfordshire!
  12. Can some one supply and give me a price for the wood to panel this park entrance, I think it will need to be atleast 21/2 inches thick for it to be relief carved. They are wanting the front and maybe the back paneled depending on price! I think Oak would be too expensive so softwood would do but if you can give me a price for both that would be good. Wellingtonia or Cedar would be ideal and I could maybe do it in wider width panels Here is the plan, its a bit confusing but I worked it out if I used all seperate panels I would need, 2 top panels @ 3120x400 upright side panels 4 @ 2000x375 4 @1350x300 4 @1050x275 Any help or suggestions appreciated
  13. Very nice, would love to see them oiled, what finish will you use?
