  1. A bit of sanding done and used a mix of vinegar & wirewool' to dye the Badger, inspired by chainsaw dick on here who used to do it quite a bit, just need one more dry day this week to finish it up! Thanks' Tommy

  9. Finally got up there and got the first done, not a Greenman more a Green Creature, Had to wheel barrow the saws down the valley to it, took three six hour days, could of done with a 4' bar! my 25" bar was just no way big enough so had to nibble the end off to get the angle I wanted! Cheers'

  11. Finally after 25 years cutting wood i'm wanting to buy a woodburner, but would like some advice on which to buy. We have just had a new combi boiler and radiators fitted so it will only be required to heat the sitting room of 4.5m x 4m. Any advice appreciated! Tommy
  12. I carved the Ammonite at a Demo in Yorkshire spent 6 hours on it, 2 with the saw and 4 trying to sand it. Wet Poplar!!! The Cow seat was at a local show Wolsingham, I hear the auction prices were poor at Westonbirt! Thanks'
  13. LOL thanks, I will be at the APF, this piece did not place and only managed £250 in the auction so I withdrew her, but was offerd £700 which I had to accept as sadly I could not take her home! Thanks'

  19. Very nice carvings, yep I'm worried!! I have some Thuja' love it, if its wet just let it stand a few days before sanding.
