  1. Mate, learn the basics first, if your a builder, and you can't use a trowel, and lay bricks you'll never build a house. Same applies to Arb and forestry, you have to learn the basics first, CS 30 and 31basic chainsaw work and felling, then move up to greater things. Good Luck in your quest in Forestry.

  5. I'm 56 this year and still find climbing a lot easier than dragging brush and pushing it through the chipper. That's any tree as the bigger they are the more of my weight they will take !!
  6. Life is too short man, just use them to start your fire, and find a reputable supplier; The moral of this story... Always check over what you purchase before you hand over the cash

  16. Here are my rigging pics for the competition.
  17. Cheers TMT, by the way its not me in the picture, one of my employees. Its all hornbeam about 300tons, busy felling and extracting again this winter.
  18. If you are considering a splitter one with a hydraulic knife is so beneficial, especially if you are splitting tree waste of different sizes. I think it was 1k extra which is alot but saves so much time imo.
  19. I bought a 16 ton petrol mobile log splitter from Riko last year, over a PTO model, as I can transport it to jobs quickly and it is very versatile, and doesnt tie up a tractor. Good customer service from Riko espescially chris Sheppard, although they do go to alot of shows. The machine is awesome, and I am very pleased, it will split up sections just over a meter long and up tp about a meter in diameter. I have been happily splitting hornbeam all winter.
  20. yer 3 way crab, but I use a green colured one on the plastic end and a red coloured one on the grillion end. Just a little safety system for moi, I use it on my climbing line as well. Red never gets moved once attached, green is the one thats always unclipped.
  21. Carlos, if you PM me with your contact details, I will give you the contact of my brother who is a qualified agrochemical agronomist with 20 years experience, and is basis qualified, he will be able to correctly answer any of your questions.
  22. If you want spares for Timberwolf Chippers, or any advice about these machines, Derek Dorling, who used to work for Timberwolf, has set up on his own as Chipper Doctor, he has an enormous knowledge of these machines, and sells spares etc. I have used him for my TW190 TR and he knows his stuff. Chipper Doctor Ltd - Authorised Service, Repairs, Genuine Spare Parts for Entec and Timberwolf Chipper and Shredders. Stump Grinders and Garden Machinery Repaired.
  23. Carlos, just remember to read the instructiond on the product lable carefully prior to useage. All the information that you require will be clearly stated on the lable, which is a statutory requirement, people on here are all trying to be very helpfull, but sometimes it's a case of the blind leading the blind !!
