I was really stumped after line 2, so line 3 was a sacrificial offering. A random word to try and find some more letters in desperation. It worked, and then the T came to me in line 4.

I was going to suggest this guy on YouTube, you beat me too it. I've watched a few of his videos recently, after someone else on here recommended him last week. Very good. -

Interesting idea. I'd foresee it being a bit arduous though with the ember and leaf blower approach. I think I'd drill out as large a hole as possible through the centre, and then enlarge it with fire. Similar to those crappy log candles. Set it smouldering then douse it out when it gets to the desired size.

Do you have any photos that you could share? Bit hard to try to diagnose the problem without being able to see the issue. Is there any obvious damage to that one bough, physical or physiological? Maybe Canker or some other infection.

Nothing gets past some people does it?! So, to address this, the burning question of the day; they're neither work boots nor going out shoes. They're a pair of clogs I wear for kicking around in the workshop and garden sometimes. They're fairly new so probably were fresh out of the box in that first picture. I'm not one of these weird blokes that has to have shiny shoes! Second picture was in the kitchen @Doug TaitD. (Probably with slippers on in case you were wondering!)

Quite a lot of supermarket fruit and veg is disappointing compared to what you can grow in the garden. It's grown more for their convenience, (shipping, storing, consistency of size/shape etc.) Consumer taste is not that high a priority. Even stuff from a proper old fashioned green grocer is way better normally. These were Bramleys. Apparently. The were real Bramleys, from the greengrocer.

Cheers. The lower bee house is a section of hollow Laburnum stem that I've got lying around. I was hoping to do something more artistic with it but so far function has prevailed over form.
