  7. Desicated Fistulina hepatica at base of Oak. Fistulina hepatica .
  8. Spotted this near the base of a declining oak although I suspect it fruited higher up the stem. Think it’s a desiccated Fistulina hepatica, looked at Monkeyd’s thread the other day on desiccated fb so thought id have a prod about and it was riddled with maggots and that reminded me of one of Hammas threads, anyway while on my knees routing about and taking pics of this red maggot filled mess on the floor I look up and my boss is just walking by looking at me, hopefully the point where I sniffed it wasn’t seen ill pop a pic in the desiccated fb thread if we think it is Fistulina Pics of fb, maggots and tree

  10. No fb's on the stem, there around though, next but one tree a beech is host to Kretz & Merrip, and there are a few sapro gano's on lying dead wood.

Got 2 optima yellow tops on a split charge in my 90 never had any probs with them. starters can be cleaned and repaired, not something ive ever done, there are company’s who will do it for you at a cost, personally if your budget allow get a new/recon one, and then fix the one you’ve taken out, minimizing the amount of time the landys off the road and gaining a spare starter.
