  1. Yeah, just to clarify, old style spanners will adjust the 201's chain, but the 201's spanner wont adjust stihls other saws chain:001_smile: Unfortunatly husky have prolonged the release too much imo, the 540's build up has peaked, and going down hill now, which with their past record of toppers, they cant afford to do this. we wanted one of each to do a fair test . . .
  2. Thanks:001_smile: Dave, plenty more decay rot pics for you if you'd like same crane driver combo, although the crane was a little small for the distance and weights, the last piece he had a max of 3 ton at his angle, he lied, the piece was 3.5 and dont think i heard any sirens only a few hours to do Tobias, solna post office, a little summerhouse stranded between highways and industrilisation, very wierd. commune client Must dash for tonight, boss is taking us out again
  3. Just changed from stretch airs to the new SIP freedom 1's, front and lower rear calf protection. pleased with them so far, and at £121 there near half price to new stretch airs
  4. Used the new topper today on an oak crane fell. . . its alright, nothing amazing a bit more grunt maybe sometimes stutters a bit when suddenly apply throttle, might just need bedding in quieter bigger we all think its heavier smaller combi spanner the small end is the same size which releases the side cover nut, but the bigger size normally for side cover and spark is smaller than bigger saws, a pain as you cant use the new spanner to adjust other stihl saws smoother power It may be a new saw, but does the same job as the old ones
  5. have you done any milling yet?
  6. Varitrack like the greenmech with a pump for each track side and which pushes at an angle, spreading the tracks AND lifts the machine, or just spreads the tracks?
  7. small bandit? the 65? BIG lump, wasnt impressed at the demo. heavy at 1.9ton, poor track system Used Timberwolf 150, 190, jensen 6inch and greenmech 6inch, greenmech best by far, varitrack, chip, infeed and power is awesome:thumbup:
  8. Always good mate! 2nd crane job in a month coming up!
  9. Nice road trip boys At least it wasnt minus 10, snowing a blizzard, 50ft up and the platform conks out hey Ed
  10. Thanks Charlie, am i right in my other assumptions? What about 50inch, down to 7?
  11. .404, rollomatic bar, standard saw
  12. Am i right in thinking a larger sprocket will increase chainspeed, but decrease torqueyness? if correct a shorter bar will benifit from a larger sprocket, but a longer bar will benifit from a smaller sprocket yes? What sprocket will suit an 880 best with 36inch bar, what sprocket for 50inch bar? Same question with a wojo style muffler mod?
  13. Dont underestimate the amount of arisings!
  14. Nice Reg, what and why are you using the big shackles for?
  15. Thanks, Its an honest video of my work, i could have edited it out but chose to keep it in, first full crane fell, made it all up as i went along, most importantly i knew exactly what i had done wrong as soon as it happened, it was a learning curve teaching myself

  17. In the past month we have rigged down large pines, Elms, Removed a 35M Elm with a crane, worked at linneaus gardens, straight felled 25m+ spruces, private and commercial jobs, worked on islands where the ony access is by boat, subtle reductions, thins, pollards, panted An 8 meter Birch, we also do the other end of tree work, 2 days hedge cutting (very rare to hedge cut) the odd commune job. had buffet lunches brought for us too! High quality of work (pruning epsecially), speed and safety are possibly the three most important aspects Derek wants, you need all 3 to have a chance of employment! Proffesionalism is highly important, BUT there is always a time and place to have a laugh at work too:thumbup: Some videos [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzVZIe2Yt5I]YouTube - ‪Slide show of tree work‬‏[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9xWua6Btkk&feature=related]YouTube - ‪linne trädgård daytree 1‬‏[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYcrrz2cH6E&feature=related]YouTube - ‪Linné trädgård video 2‬‏[/ame] Any Questions ring Derek
