  11. I love Valentines day, throwing money about is the easy way out Shes a massive Ice hockey fan, so took her to see Sweden play Finland sunday evening, then monday morning glory, followed by a Swedish buffett breakfast, drove out to Ekerö (Oak island) for a walk and a simple picnic by a frozen lake, beautifull old church, and round the grounds of the Kings Palace doing a bit of tree ident (shes a gardener). Then had a supprise evening for her, she hasnt been able to relax for weeks, (Shes been selling her appartment up north and working crazy hours) so come 5pm, a candle lit bubble bath, whilst i cooked dinner, and whilst she was relaxing in the tub i moved the table into the living room, and lit the room with 100 candles, my living room looks over the skyline of Stockholm too . . . I did buy a card, but wrote a poem inside. Served up salmon with a sweet chili and lime sauce, then choc fudge ice cream for desert and a film. Take the pish if you want, but she loved it:001_cool:
  12. Nice one Ben! Good to meet you and Steve the other night, more beer soon!
  13. Not mine, just sitting next to a tree we felled out in the sticks, next time we're there i'll see if i can bag it, i like it. I dont think its been out too long, all doors open, nothing has started to seize, and the house wasnt exactly modern-the only toilet was still an outside shed! I've owned and raced Husky bikes, Very good machines, among the best, in the top 5 for supermoto imo.
  14. when whilst on a dirty weekend away, in the hotel room you get distracted by the job you're doing by the painting on the wall with previously topped trees in the backround, and wonder if the artist knew what he was painting. . . sure beats thinking of margret thatcher on a cold day to keep youreself going

  16. Hey Chris, where did you build that? i think i done some tree work there with Acacia a few years back, the guy was telling us about the wood, and the guy constantly busting drill bits, and it had to be pre cut specially as blunts normal teeth.
  17. Thanks for replies! I find using a humbolf face cut you just have to be carefull about the chog breaking off early with the saw in the cut, as the step seems more willing to grab the bar . . . Talking of bars, Gamla stan is near where youre staying friday night, i'll ring you in the week Too much cut and hold in youre opinion they could have been free falled into the trees below, creating more work, slowing the groundie up, and the job . .
  18. Dismantle Pine on the island of Tronholmen, try to avoid damaging trees below, but no worries, dismantled in small pieces so groundsman could stack without needing to cut up on the ground, took it steady so groundsman could keep up. Have a look at the Stepped gob cut, no one ive worked with has seen it before but it makes life so easy chogging down-the chog was 2M, sat back and piece of cake to push off, with control on the direction. 19. if i were a domestic customer i wouldnt be happy with that, doesnt look like the sides have been touched imo. sorry!
  20. It hasn't really been a problem, lots of rocks here, or frozen ground, roots, sometimes it may sink half a foot. The extension can be slid out and be fixed a further meter out, giving more leverage or footing options before winding the jack out.
  21. Simmilar, ours is the RH Pusher Reipal AB verkstad mekanisk verkstad produkter maskiner konstruktioner trädfällriktare rh-pusher timbertool brandstötta stabilift I think its a great tool for stems, and will supprise you as to the back or side leaners you can push over, more than wedges or levers will acheive
