  1. As those of you who have worked with me know, i have my own style of climbing, my own style of cutting, which has slowly developed over years of self taught daily work. i use a wide range of techniques and cuts that are never taught, and probabally never will be, but used with logic and common sence, the risks are minimal. I have worked with others who have commented that with my confidence and techniques, they struggled to see any H+S risks, or even that 95%+ of my work practices would fail NPTCs. However, i have worked alongside less experienced climbers who have not the strength or knowledge as myself, who have then jumped straight in at the deep end and tried copying my 'style' to try and keep up with my efficency(not just speed), but without applying common sence or logic, and as a result looked quite frankly dangerous. If there was to be a ticket for cutting and holding, it should be the hardest, longest most intense ticket going, as some people will never have the sence or ability to do it safety.
  2. Plippy could have written that
  3. Ok, thanks Mick, Diet and nutrition is starting to intrest me
  4. Are you talking about protien powder there Mick? So you just eat normally, or as Darren187 suggests, then the extra protien portions ontop?
  5. That mill looks a bit cumbersome with another saw head on aswell, compared to an alaskan of the same size, you could still keep the 070 buy a normal bar and use it on the alaskan?
  6. Great post Being a bit thick, are Protiens lean meats and fish, and Carbohydrates are greens as a general rule? What about salts, sugars and fats? So 2 parts carb and 1 part protien is good for energy, what about if you want to bulk up too?
  7. Nice pics there Sean, those roots are wierd!
  8. I think APC thought the tree was a heavy leaner in the direction of fell, and because of the species, decided on a dogs tooth to minimise the risk of a barbers chair:001_smile: A "pusher" is good in these misjudged situations

I like that, i cant really comment to the original poster, being just over half you're age:001_tongue: but to Skyhucks post, my grandpa retired from working in a garage at 85 fitter than most half his age, he passed away at 87
  10. Jeeezz, Were his bones broken already? if not how did he break them? I guess desperation and determination can make you do extrodinary things. I saw the trailer last week, looks better than the film we ended up watching!

  13. The drawings look dated. .
  14. the commando you know the price, or wait for one of those david? especially the SE model
  15. That Yam's beautifull! As for the CCM, a bike made of lead would be lighter
  16. ive pulled everything off, except the crank case, the 46 is a great saw, the 44 series is good, but soon wears out ime
  17. i got it as a non runner, the mesh basket in the carb was full of crud, cleaned out, ran perfect, done near 100 hours, then packed up again-wouldnt idle without reving, then wouldnt start without chokem then died. stripped it today, exhaust port side of cylinder and chamber badly scored. spud, only slight side to side movement
  18. Impressive! what will something like that pull? flying back for sure on the 15th, but getting restless!
  19. A nice job to do!
  20. Hi Rob!, Theres a tiny bit of play in the crank, so that'd be a full gasket set needed too, anything else to look for?
  21. Nice one thats what i thought. Anyone got views on non genuine parts? or as im assuming, not worth the bother?
  22. I agree, it did handle well, but was just too "nice" where as the triple, made me grin just starting her, and despite being a big bike, you could really throw it around, under 100mph it would easily out perform my mates much newer gsx600r, standing starts, rolling starts, and cornering. Round the alps i would have to stop and wait for him to catch up
  23. What else is advisable to replace when replacing the piston and pot? thanks
  24. Lovely 1098 Ady! Heres some of my past bikes Triumph speed four, alright but a bit girly Triumph speed triple, Fantastic bike, the carbon race can with baffles removed made the 3cyl sound like an animal Speed triple in the french alps Husky smr510, seriously fun bike
