    Too old?

Go for it RC, I think I asked the same question last year before getting into this game....and had much the same response. I would recommend some rec climbing or just gym training before your 38/39 though....discovered I had very weak elbows/forearms by the second climb....ok now though!! Bon chance!
  21. I'm just over the bridge in Essex, have 30,31 & 38.....and not afraid of an early start!! Have been doing some coppicing lately for gratis in my local woods, some big stuff though as it's been neglected in recent years. Keen for some commercial experience, and registered self employed. PM on it's way.
  22. For those that like that sort of thing! Found these in a field in Cornwall last September. Don't know what they are...1st & 2nd are the same 'shroom...I'm assuming the 3rd is just an earlier stage of the 2nd?
  23. Go for it mate, I have and although not finding paid work at the moment, every minute I spend with the trees in the woods (coppicing for fun/free!) I thank my lucky stars.....no going back for me I hope. Nothing more soul destroying than office work in my opinion!
  24. If you gents will indulge a know nothing type of question....is that fungus there as a cause or symptom of the rot?
