    Chain Oil Feed

Try cleaning the oil tank out with petrol and even runnign it briefly with fuel in the oil tank. That might clean it out and help the flow. Also runnier oil might be better. Have you changed brands recently? Sometimes an air line can be used to clean it out but care needs to be taken not to blow off filters etc that are located in the tank. I don't know the Ryobi saws so don't know the exact configuration.
  2. Hi, yes please I'm still looking. For Tuesday onwards this week. I doubt I could afford you though!!
  3. Zen.....................................................
  4. I will be writing a review of the new ones soon, I've been trying them out the last few weeks.
  5. Work still available Would really suit someone with tickets but little experience, the work couldn't be easier and you can have a climb too, some nice Beech trees.
  6. I use arb essentials own brand "no risk" logger boots. Not the climber version for 30 quid more, just the basic version. 80quid, maybe less. Last pair (freebie) lasted two years.
  7. So here is the finished article!!
  8. Cheers. But I havn't put the "after" pics up yet!
  9. Peter! I was trying to derail my own thread!! Shouldv't thought about shooting a throwline after we finished. I guess the thought of it gettign stuck put me off. Miraculaously we both got our rope guides out without incident!
  10. Thats my shed!! I was at my holiday home today, some left if you want one 800K upwards. Caprice has one of the bigger 2.2million ones but its not built yet.
  11. Couln't get a high enough access line. I think we got it 45-50 feet, so footlocked it. The other climber FL also and doesnt do SRT yet.
  12. Didn't measure it exact but my 60m rope was well short!
  13. I think at one point I actually fell in love with that tree!! Every where you wanted to go it let you!
  14. Possibly, but a long time ago, no obvious evidence but certainly looks like it. Maybe they broke off??
  15. View from the top. Different (crappy) camera!!
  16. Heres a good one for scale. what looks like trees either side are just the lower side branches coming up.
  17. All with handsaw. Two climbers, the other guy had a chainsaw sent up for about three stubs to cut off, other than that it was a peaceful day.
  18. Soem pics from monday. A good size Lime, mostly to deadwood but as with most limes you end up having to thin them a bit!
  19. Tuesday onwards. Not necessarily four days, three at least.
  20. Hi Is there any newbie climbers with chainsaw and AR tickets who could do a few days ground work next week in North/East Gloucestershire? All I need is someone to cut and stack wood, no chipping or rigging, nothing complicated. I would let the right person have a climb too if they wanted too, so if anyone wants a bit of experience let me know. Also fully up to speed groundies are welcome also!
  21. I'm only 14 and a half stone actually Steve. Surely it depends on the species? Oak, beech etc then your anchor point will be where steve put it, anything else might as well be reduced further in anyway or else there is no point being there. For deadwooding on flimsy stuff then a silky pole saw will do. If its big enough that you need a power pruner then its big enough to climb.
  22. Hi Dazlog. What the reg of your unimog? It looks familiar, how long have you had it?
  23. I've seen pics from the 20's or 30's where they had an incinerator towed behind something. Looked as though you had to set up the chimney once on site as it was very high, to keep the smoke above houses etc. Then light it and feed branches into the back doors just like a chipper. Looked like a good solution for those days.
