  1. I use this way very very rarely when snatching tops out of very tall bending stems, I just put a few tape slings with crabs on to the lowering rope at different parts of the stem to spread the load. I think this is a bit like what your talking about? a bit like tensioning a bow, if you dont put the slings on. (only way i can think to put it!)hope this makes sense.
  2. Easy few hours no tidy up at all :001:001_smile:, no lowering just to get down .Just to keep in the boundry of the building plot.Straight fell after the second pic (with wedges).

  6. I've been out today with the Valmet and blade ,i cleaned out 1 speed hump:thumbup1: and nearly went through the window when i hit a raised man hole at 10 mph .

  10. .Im gutted cant even help them out wi my kit.Oh well have to go shoppin now much expence no christmas for me or family. I know its never the same as using your own gear, but i've got a spare climbing kit if it would help you out for a few months.i'm just over the hill from you in Richmond.
  11. The last time i got a mill in for the day i got my old man some small beams cut ,he built this out of them.

Hi Bob ,i think that job for Fountains was in the boarders ,20kv running alongside and we were told "no streight fells"(god knows why),it would have been done in no time at all, but we had a good time and it was sunny !.But no photos of me never mind ,most of the poles smashed to bits aswell so not much timber at the end.
