  1. they all look good but ive only got dosh or 1 unfortunately! im still leaning towards the capstan winch
  2. javascript:; Santana PS10 (Like Landrover 110) 3 Way Tipper on ebay at the moment
  3. i know they have been talked about on here before but does anyone have any vids of these little winches working? i am looking at the lewis winch and the 2 t cylone winch, there is a clip on youtube of the cyclone capstan winch working but it is a pathetic video of it pulling a truck on tarmac which 2 blokes could have pushed! i like the idea of the capstan winch just because you can use lowering lines. the lewis winch looks good too but is expensive seaming as you will need a fairly hefty saw to use it
  4. so how much would that be worth to a woodturner??
  5. i was thinking closer to 300 and i was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on the trailer number plate! didnt go to salcombe but hope cove, just as bad, could probably get 400!
  6. just how accurate are these moisture meters? and who sells them?
  7. im new to the firewood side of things so was just wondering how much this lot would be worth roughly, its just a little 8x4 trailer thanks

  10. eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
  11. love the shelves love the little gas bottle wood burner behind them more though. how well does that work?
  12. blimey my head spinning! i took down a big euc with exactly the same problem but much worse, it was full of low tight forks which were riddled with the same decay i too blamed it on honey fungus and did find plenty of bootlaces under the dead bark. i was a little embarrassed after we took it down as the stem looked as clean as a whistle except for this rot which only really extended about 10 - 20mm in to the tree
  13. thanks for the replys i think i will have a go with some of the aspen 4, i didnt realise you can mix it yourself
  14. does anyone know if i could use aspen fuel in my stumpgrinder? its a husky 3120 engine but manufactures recommended running on a mix of 33:1 not 25:1 which i have done with no probs but i dont use it that much and thought it might be better on the aspen. thanks
  15. ive just finished building my new shed to keep my gear in and now i am too scared to keep anything in it in case it gets stolen. my pl insurance company dont really know what im talking about. my local NFU wont do tree surgery insurance at all. any ideas on who to call for a theft insurance policy?
  16. ive tried araldite, that does not stick to that type of plastic ive tried fibre glass, that just popped off to ive tried clear silicone, that just swelled up inside the tank and dropped off. the crack is small about 10mm, and directly opposite the filler hole so you can dribble adhesive on to the crack. any other ideas?
  17. thanks graham i will give them a try
  18. Hi does anyone know of any decent replacement leaf springs for my 2006 mitsi and where i can get them from? i have had the milner ones before but i dont fancy all the fillings again! cheers

  20. that is shocking, i had a demo off redwood today of the same machine, i would have brought that up with him if id known. looks like an straight forward fix though. that really could have been a disaster. good spot!! mud, what mud?? at least you can tell its a jensen, you should see my chipper!
  21. Thanks guys, I just went out and checked that belt and it was well loose, tightened it up and hopefully thats solved the problem. Thanks again
  22. the feed rollers have recently started struggling more than usual with awkward stuff, the feed rollers stop and a buzzing sound is coming from the hydraulics somewhere. you can simply reverse and re feed and its ok, but not right. Machine has done 300 odd hrs. changed hydraulic oil and filter probably too long ago Any ideas?
  23. yea pigs with tusks, big tusks! still waiting on the doors, they are being made at the moment. I cant wait till its finished. Perhaps im a little sad but its so nice, new and clean i dont want to fill it up with all my crap (as the wife calls it!)
  24. so how do you clean that egr valve thing, well firstly where is tit and what does it do!!?
  25. shed nearly finished! Ive been waitng years to save up my pennies to afford this. i didnt plan on it being so elaborate with the concrete walls and floor but it was one of those jobs where it was a lot easier to do it now whilst the contractors were on site. logs and eventually a few pigs in one half with the machinery lock up on the other side
