  1. I'd have a look on the approved hydraulics site as have grabs, rotator, swing links and quick hitches all available and very helpful on the phone.
  2. That's the sort of thing I'm after, will try them but suspect it'll be the same that they would need the machine to fit so might be back to trying just a local fabricator or coming up with something myself.
  3. They could but would need the machine to make it to fit which seems to be the overall state of play
  4. Fairly dead end as will only do them out of hardox and bending it needs stupid pressure and minimum size sheet to fit the press so making them for small rams and machines is uneconomical as to much waste after its cut down to fit.
  5. Was starting to forget what you looked like [emoji39] How's it going, where you been and more importantly who is she to distract you enough not to post for so long [emoji848][emoji6]
  6. Will give them a call tomorrow, worth 5 min to give them a go as looks very well made.
  7. Anybody aware of a company who makes decent bolt on ram guards for a 2.6 ton size machine, let one of the other lads loose on the bobcat today and he's managed to put a few noticeable scars in the main lift ram with the grab tines, we have had words but now I know it's possible I'd rather have something that covers the whole front of the ram not just the standard that covers the chrome. Also possibly the bucket ram could do with a cover as in among it with the shear on. I tryed Google but kept just getting big demolition stuff.
  8. I'd say you'd be better off just getting a established contractor to come and just do it for you, it not just a case of hanging the head on the boom and fitting a few switches to the controls.
  9. Your almost contradicting yourself here. Of course we pay for these things at the time of purchase and in full then the seller is responsible for declaration of tax due on this sale, we don't say we will hold onto some of the value and pay the tax on there behalf at the end of the quarter then it's up the them to claim back any difference so why should it be any different when we sell something in this case our time and skill to the construction industry. The whole thing was established to stop single person labor only businesses getting into trouble by not being able to to pay the tax or even not declaring earnings at all so are forced to overpay to make sure they declare everything in order to get back what is due therfore can also be means tested and monitored easier for such things as benefits. What I find strange is that a architect or a surveyor is not covered under the scheme even though effectively only providing time and skill.
  10. Needs a bigger chipper to keep up now.
  11. Had the same on a 5k job, no mention of it pre start so sent them another invoice saying my labor was now free but the hire of the equipment and removal of all waste was now the value of the original quote which was excepted and paid. I see both sides of the argument and see the point for single person labor only business like a sparky or bricky as makes sure they pay the tax but a registad business providing company and vat numbers it's just a little annoying when that money could be with you nd invested back into the business sometimes for over a year.
  12. Got to work next to this lovely piece of kit just before Christmas and the highlead made getting these large nobles up the banking a brease and then could just clear his own landing as he went, the speed of the winches was amazing and even though he was only just resting the head on the ground and not swapping for the bucket or grab it was amazingly stable. 14ton zero tail I belive and he had been cutting line thinnings the week before with it as can work so close into itself without destroying the rest of the stand. Big money like having all the modifications done and remotes fitted.
  13. Very nice, I've used quite a few roof mounts but yet to try a jake mount, apparently more stable.
  14. I should add hywels was a 13 hr round trip which was fun with my dad keeping me company ?
  15. Why, do you happen to know someone [emoji57][emoji849][emoji848]
  16. If you've still got it in a month or two when my bank balance has recovered from the bobcat and grabs purchase I might just get it touch about that
  17. https://www.kellfri.co.uk/forest-firewood/forestry-trailers-accessories/forestry-trailers/tipping-and-forestry-trailer-atv-pro Was thinking of one of these for the digger as could shift a bit of soil on jobs for filling in ruts etc and help bring timber out of tighter spots to where the tractor can then reach or just shifting a bit of firewood in the yard and for 1200 quid ain't bad at all.
  18. No it'll be a little more I'd think but no more than having 3 decent buckets in the trailer, I'll have it on the scales next week. Shes stable enough for a close to zero swing with quite a long arm on her, yes you can get a Bob on but it's not as scary as some I've used as track base is fairly big for class. Hywel evens fitted the extra lines, case drain and a few other bits for me and built up the grapple saw which needs a bit of tweeking but is very capable. Jak 200 of wilsons which has chewed its way through some horrible blackthorn today without any trouble. Really happy with the little machine.
  19. Bobcat e26 so 2. 6 ton, nice as can still tow it around
  20. 1st play out with the new arb digger yesterday to give the attachments a bit of a shakedown, very impressed with the whole setup. Grapple saw needed a bit of tweeking as was to aggressive on hardwood but got that sorted and the shear worked fantastic on all the multi stem birch and Hazel we are clearing.
  21. Very nice setup, who's rake are you using as hearing a vast difference in quality between suppliers
  22. Fixed that for you bud [emoji39] Yes those are the guy's, plenty to choose from and quality stuff
  23. Just got a GH 1054 for the same job to replace a gh84 as its not wide enough for the digger tracks. I'd looked at Brian James and seemed well specked but was told a min of 12 weeks till I'd get it but the ifor I could collect that day..... Went for the upgrade spec of bigger tyres and led lights and a believe the bigger springs. Tows beautifully and will hold a decent resale I'd hope.
  24. I'll echo matty on what he says on uniforest, I'm not a hater but don't think they are value for money. I have a a 8.5 electro hydraulic krpan and it's been fantastic and the remote is definitely worth the extra money as can actually reduce the manpower needed on site to run it efficiently
