  1. Hard to put an exact time on them as tend to do them on a evening in stages Opso cutting all the part, peeling, sanding etc but I think I would do 3ish in 2days. Some parts are green some are dry so a bit of planning involved.
  2. You will prob get it and find its a still e5 bar made of plastic not a stihl es made off good mettle, or is this my experience of good deals on ebay....
  3. Rob it's your toys that have cut them so quite proud of myself now... Dont drop them as they will dint the floor or your foot whitchever is in the way.. Made a jig for xcutting them with the vertical mill that works a treet will put a pick up some point.
  4. Ruskins oils, low luster finish, food safe, smells nice and got a big tin of it so why not
  5. Have you ever payed for some nappies? not cheep!!! got to work to pay for them little poo catchers!
  6. Tryed to get some picks for you but they dont make sence as will need to put the landy up an a 4 poster to get far anough away to see anything. I can still send you yhe stuff from superwinch if you want. If you could post a pick of the lid set up it would help as now got some alloy sheet to get on with the mods.
  7. Just teak oil, nothing fancy for the stands. Lemon oil for the burrs.
  8. Joe cornish in northallerton
  9. Acacia burr's that I have had for a while now getting carved into some not quite normal fruit boles. And a few oak block pot stands for a gallary, almost kept them as the grain was so nice.
  10. Finally finished and delivered to a happy costomer. Not the final resting place but at least we got it in.
  11. :banghead:That was to do with a unclear situation to do with long term hire of a log splitter but that is a whole outher story as you well know hamdog
  12. Sorry rupe will try and make my state clear. I am a arborist who did forestry before seeing the light but am now doing 40hrs a week paye on the books for a mostly forestry based company, this is the work that is coursing the prob. I am also registered as part time self a employed as I have my own stump grinder log splitter etc do quite a lot of hedge cutting, chainsaw milling carving and timber craft to reinvest in my business with the view of going full time on my own when my wife starts working again after having our 2nd child. Following so far, there will be a test later...
  13. I am a arborist but working for a more forestry based company at the moment, the milage that i am doing is not just getting from home to the yard but transporting staff and materials onto site. sometimes this is only a few miles on the astate where we are based but sometimes further affield. Am i being unresnable by wanting to get some sort of set allowance rarther than just here is x£ for that trip you did to y as its not just the fuel it's all the costs that go with running such a truck.....
  14. pto will be very closed to the sump and with mine having a twisted performance stainless pipe on it a bering touch's this, just. Will try and take a pick on phone tomorrow and work out how to post off it to show how mine go's. Take it you have a 300 from the air intake so with luck will be the same. I think if yours is a td5 but the winch came off a tdi then you might need new shafts. The people at superwinch are very helpful as needed a few bit for mine and sorted it all over the phone with lots of advise. Might try some sort of lid like that as sick of chip on roof and bonnet.
  15. Just had a look at your websites, I like the tidy lid on the chip bin, will this slide inside of the sides or sit on the chip when full? Also love the pick of you fly tipping down that hillside :awink:
  16. If you pm me your email I will send you a pdf fitting guide that I got when trying to fit mine, if I can finde it in my stone age computer. I do remember the pto gave me a hard time and bloody knuckle s to get fitted but well worth the hassle for the pulling power and control it allowes.
  17. :001_tt2:You must have a tree:001_rolleyes:
  18. Insurance is not a problem as am also self employed so landy has full business cover and towing cover incase i have someone elses trailer on. Just was wondering if anyone elss has a set deal with employers. HMRC say 45p a mile now but not sure wot this is all about.
  19. Just a little advice needed, employed forestry arb worker who has own landrover 130 is asked to use it at work by owner of company who offers to sort some derv money, in my world this is just a little vague and i want to sort out something a little more fixt (milage allowance) as fell into this trap with past employers. Do any outher arbtalkers have anything in place like this for truck/gear use to help everyone know where they stand.
  20. Had my 1st go at a comp last year at the arb north show by gustarts, this was a good start even if I started climbing for work in 2000. Didnt quite know wot I was doing but most people who take part willing to help you do the best you can. So I would say just finde 1 enter and have a go, someone will help you if you need it, dont take yourself to seriously and just enjoy.
  21. £6000..... hard pushed to get a good trailer forwarder for that someone got a very good deal, scrap it and you would get most if not all that back.

    6x6 HiLux

I aint a hilux lover but i would love 1 set up like that (6x6 landy would be better) just think of the advertising it would get you noticed as you went about.
  23. Yes veritas 1's 3/4", 1 1/4" and a large 2" that takes a bit of turning that even my big makita cordless can have a bit of a fight with might have a go at putting it in my stihl bt45 drill when my hand gets a bit better.
  24. Yes they are for a customer who fell in love 'her words' with a childs chair so wonted some to go in a green oak frame conservetory they had built a few years back. Yes the frames are a mix of dry and partly green hazel and the seats are oak.
  25. I have posted a few picks of the small childrens chairs that i make in the past but thought you might like a look at a job i am working on at the mo, 4 full size chairs 2 stools and a rather large table. I should have spent this weekend working on the table but my ring finger got in a little fight with the stumpgrinder ramps and lost ending with me in A&E getting the nail and tip of my finger put back on, nor recomended!!!
