Early 2010 saw the start of a major project by ISC to modernise a timeless classic. The ISC Cast Pulleys are probably the most widely used Pulley Blocks by Arborist's for rigging around the World. Originally developed in 1996 these blocks have been the backbone to most arborist's rigging situations and a tool every arborist both young and old has come to trust and respect. Like all classics there finally comes a time to make some changes. During the re-development of the pulley it was important to retain its classic features but introduce change. The new rounder profile enhances the whole tactile feel of the block and reduces the risk of burred or sharp edges that may wear a rigging rope. What's New Increased radius on all edges both internal and external All pulley details are now easily located on an Identification Plate The internal Spring Lock location hole is now honed out for easier location Increased internal width to accommodate larger diameter anchor slings Larger diameter top & bottom axles; Diameter increased by >10% What's Retained The classic ISC Pulley Block Shape The trusted and proven Spring Lock System eliminating chance of cross threading Same external dimensions (Length & Width) Same strengths as the previous versions CE certification to European Machinery Directive Currently available in two models IS-RP051-A1 SRP £89.00+vat IS-RP055-A1 £109.00+vat For further details and specifications please click here These can now be ordered and purchased from all good Arborist Supply Retailers ISC is a SPONSOR of the "ultimate arb competition" and these will be part of the prize fund. We will be at TCI in November and will have a set on the STEIN USA Booth which you can try.

We are only producing it in PTT format, one for simplicity to keep the cost of the product down and secondly not everyone wants here lads chatting about the previous nights events. By using PTT this ensures the airways are kept clear from un-related chatter. This product should be released for open sale later this month. The anticipated retail price of a single communication device to attach to a helmet (excluding radio) will be £99.00 plus vat.

The STEIN MR100 Mini-Reach retriever is an ingenious tool designed to assist tree climbers in retrieving climbing or rigging lines which are just out of reach. The Mini-Reach quickly extends to 1m in length and collapses to just 18cm. At just 90gms in weight, the same weight as a karabiner it can easily be attached to your harness by means of a tool clip. Available from all good Arborist Supply Retailers SRP £12.50 plus vat Click here to view the Stein MR100 Mini-Reach Tool

Please be aware the jackets you are talking about are NOT the Stein Jackets. The Stein Jackets are purpose made for the industry. The design may look similar but they are different.

Andy, When we release the comms set we will be recommending a specific brand and model of radio which has 8 main channels each with 8 sub-channels. This means there should always be an unused channel. I think you will be very unlucky if all 64 channels are being used at the sametime. As an update the comms system has now been fully tested to ensure they still have the same rating as the MSA HPE ear-defender (Chipper muff 32-snr). We are now awaiting the CE certification. This means they will be fully rated as Chipper Muffs.

Silverstreak only has a tensile strength of 2000kg in straight pull, when knotted you can loose anything upto 50% of the ropes strength. The arb industry expects all goods to have a rating of 22kN.

We now have a range of pre-configured kits available through our dealers Fletcher Stewart

Gareth this is very bad advice. Harnesses are built, tested, and constructed to withstand certain forces on the body. Any modifications like stated above could cause a fatal outcome with no come back on the manufacturer. Take advice to purchase a new harness which has been designed to have an adjustable bridge.
