  1. Here: Haro! Haro! Clameur raised in Trinity branchage row | Bailiwick Express Jersey WWW.BAILIWICKEXPRESS.COM A mechanical hedge-cutter was, quite literally, stopped in its tracks when a Trinity parishioner invoked a 1,000-year-old procedure that halted work immediately.
  2. Mine had its high pressure fuel pump changed twice which cured the hot starting issues. This video is a very different problem as it started fine. How could a bad earth provoke these symptoms and can this be demonstrated by creating a bad earth to prove it? @Jase hutch
  3. Still hoping a British climber marries a French tart then moves within easy commiting distance of Rennes.

  5. Same engine? Similar symptoms?
  6. I advertised for someone to do this for my clients either with own machine or using mine. No takers. So now I lend my clients my own machine and let them get in with it. It's what the French call a 'geste commercial' or commercial gesture, deal sweetener, quite popular too. It's an E.U homoglated machine similar to a Rock 22t Not actually road tow but locally I get away with doing so.
  7. I'll not sleep properly until Jase tells us. I told you all I was scarred by the whole Efi episode, well I actually had a nightmare this week. I dreamed I was on a job in town and the Evo suddenly went haywire. When I opened the bonnet up, inside was a Vanguard Efi. I was terrified! Then people from my memories, dealers, mechanics, clients, other arb guys, friends, Greenmech haters kept coming up to me laughing and pointing. I was naked but for a T'shirt and a pair of boots.
  8. I transpires, all these Efi running issues are down to a batch of faulty bonnet catch sensors right?
  9. Whatapp him!
  10. Well? Friday tomorrow. This isn't France you know...
  11. Wake him up!
  12. ECU changed and the machine runs as it should or not as of tonight? So pointing a finger at the problem, what would you say it was?
  13. What about changing the ECU? That was the only part not changed with mine. Any number of software updates changed nothing. It was clearly goosed.
  14. @Shaunpaul Is it fixed yet? I giddy with anticipation! @Jase hutch @PeteB
  15. Reminds me of an ancient thread involving a foot spa...
  16. 16 hrs! You in the outback of Australia or County Kerry? I wish I had known before buying a machine with a Briggs Efi that dealer support was not only thin in the ground but the domain of comedians, clowns and incompetents.
  17. Thank you for posting. It must be humiliating for dealers not to be able to easily diagnose issues with a twin cylinder engine. Briggs are hiding something even from their own technicians.
  18. I saw on Instagram he'd visited the factory and been lent that new turntable model in the meantime. I've a buyer as of tonight for mine. It might be gone in a week or so. Local groundscare company, friend of a friend. Tested it out yesterday evening. I'm putting new tyres on and bunging in a boxed set of Rotatech blades I was once gifted but never used. Mixed feelings about letting it go. I like having a backup chipper sitting ready to go scarred as I am by the whole Efi episode. However, the Evo continues to be reliable so having a second machine depreciating away whilst costing insurance seems unnecessary.
  19. @Shaunpaul Any updates?
  20. Here: Ban on wood burners threatens British boat-dwellers with winter freeze | Fuel poverty | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM A new law allows British councils to impose on-the-spot fines for emitting smoke
  21. My current B20 has 2 pairs of 'lead teeth' which wear faster than the other 2 pairs. I've really no idea what the benefit of this with only 4 pairs on a wheel.
  22. Thank you all for your replies. I recall the time I took a 400euro tophandle saw which was just out of warranty into a dealer for a tune and came out with a 280euro bill for a new carb. I'm happy to try fiddling and if I screw up, just buy a fresh carb. Question, why don't small engines have fuel filters? Answers on a postcard please and the winner recieves a Crack a Jack pencil or pen. Stuart
  23. Anyone know the UK price of the new B21? Cheers Stuart
  24. Who are you anyway and what the f**k do you know about engines....? 😁 Thank you, I'll give it a wang and buy a carb off Amazon as a back up to my butterfingered efforts.
