  1. The Treemagineers have also been working with a US outdoor clothing company developing a quilt balaclava prototype specifically designed for climbing arborists working in colder winter climates, the design apparently allows for a climbing helmet to be worn over the top.
  2. The Treemagineers will be demoing it at the AA Show and explaining the benefits etc. AA Teccie will have a stall selling them. .
  3. The Arboricultural Association are now saying this new design will be the safest biner on the market, they've been working with Treemagineers to develop it. Any thoughts?
  4. quality work on those trees Reg, that 536 looked pretty decent on that fir, cheers for posting the vid .
  5. Why haven't the police released the name of the attacker? Is it that bad that they need a long time to prime the public for the news? prepare their answers and excuses? Could the name of the attacker or his origin be worse than the jailed hate preacher? a returning ISIS Jihadist? This Orwellian approach to information carried out by our police and government does not help anyone. .
  6. Always wondered what happened to Juliette Lewis after Natural Born Killers .
  7. the attack was 5 hours ago, where's Sadiq Khan? his silence is deafening. Is that how the Mayor of a major world city reacts when his fellow citizens are murdered and mangled on the streets in a vicious terrorist attack next to the Houses of Parliament? .
  8. That scumbag was jailed for 2 years in January? him and some other Islamist scummer were found in Bucharest on their way to join ISIS in Syria Izzadeen is very well known to the authorities, similar mentality to Anjem Choudary who's also in the clink just now (for inciting people to join ISIS). They want Sharia Law in the UK implemented via violent Jihad .
  9. Kinnock forgot his roots and firmly ensconced himself in the EU Commission like an Alabama tick. The irony of Wales and the North of England voting Brexit is too good to be true. He's in part responsible for that Vesp, just another Euro elite dictating to the proletariat via diktat disguised as regulations. .
  10. You were really excited when Kinnock did this - [ame= ] [/ame] .
  11. Michael Foot is your hero, you've a signed framed photo of him next to your tattered copy of The Communist Manifesto. .
  12. Old enough not to display fake outrage about Thatcher's legacy and old enough not to buy into the tsunami of leftist BS propaganda about Thatcher. The left hated Thatcher because she won, time and time again she exposed the inherent weakness of the Marxists and their pisspoor miserable ideology. .
  13. Stupid statement born out of ignorance and the end result of lapping up decades of leftist BS .
  14. Douglas Murray put it well, "At least Martin McGuinness made old age. Thanks to him many others didn't." .
  15. Is the Bulldog Bone CE marked?
  16. so it seems
  17. Video gone. Been pulled? Any updates on this incident? AA Teccie? HSE? .
  18. If you have to snatch a load with the rings ie not let it run due to a roof etc this for me is where the rings fall short of blocks because the load isn't as even on each leg of the rigging line due to the friction at the rings.
  19. I'll use the rings occasionally as a quick re-direct or for lighter rigging. Over the years of working in trees you become familiar with the way blocks and pulleys behave and react to loads, the addition of the rings (extra friction) into the system is a development I'm not that interest in (having previously used old style topping down strops for taking the heads out of trees years back). The rings have a place in treework, but I wouldn't base a serious rigging system around them for regular big removals. 20. cheers Ian you could've rigged everything that was above roadside conventionally and not let it run all the way to ground but would've taken a long time. The tarmac was solid enough to take the impact of the branch tips so it meant bigger branches could be rigged as the ground was helping to absorb the load. Your almost just guiding the branches down tip first into the deck. Anyway, this was the road after the tree came down, no damage at all, which is what the client is paying for at the end of the day. .
  21. Cheers, anything where the butt end might've punched big holes in the tarmac was rigged and run to ground tips first to take the sting out of it. There is a lot more rigging in the raw footage which would've probably helped explained the general approach but not enough time to make a longer vid. The higher top sections were light enough not to damage the tarmac. .
  22. Cheers folks, half of them were down the café at any one time Mark, really struggle to get good folks these days but they made the effort to come in that's the main thing. Don, That 70cc Jonsered is a classic, not sure if you can still get them in the UK now. Luft, Vesp music is Enya's - Na Laetha Geal M'óige. yes, nearer to ground the worse the decay, Kretzch. Areas in red gone. Hence the minimal rigging and letting it run to ground on anything that might've seriously wrecked the tarmac. You can see a long column of decay running up the trunk in the final pic. I'd no problem with the decision to fell. Great tree. pity.
  23. last few cuts on a Beech dismantle, enjoy [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tAnq9CHCv4]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tAnq9CHCv4[/ame]
  24. Wes, this vid might help you understand the bigger picture, Douglas Murray of The Spectator explains the situation..... [ame= ] [/ame]
  25. Paul Watson doing another great job of exposing the truth, good to see people like him around willing to take the time to analyse the situation instead of accepting the spoonfed lies of the established media. [ame= ] [/ame]
