  1. Easier to grip, the narrower the rope diameter the harder your forearm flexor muscles have to work (even with good gripper gloves). The 13mm feels about right to me. Some narrower diameter ropes like New England Fly (11mm) feel better to grip than the 11.7 Hedera. Could be the Hedera elongates too much under load especially on SRT making it feel very narrow like 10mm. it's a very stretchy rope especially on SRT. I also found the Ropewrench works well on the 13mm Yale XTC. .
  2. Big J, If rigorous scientific research proved than humans had an innate need for religion, myth and illusion would you still be a miserable atheist? .
  3. On the subject of 11.7mm Yale rope. I bought a 11.7mm Hedera been using it on and off for a year now on both SRT and DdRT. My main line is Yale 13mm XTC (for both SRT and DdRT) The 11.7mm Hedera - Worst tree climbing rope I've ever used apart from Marlow Gecko and Beal Bonsai (the two official worst ropes ever) It feels like it's made of fabric rather than proper rope. Stupidly bouncy, lacks durability, seems to go very narrow under load (no I'm not obese). It's a shite rope. Yale should be ashamed of themselves. When it's time to retire it I'll burn it and send the vid to Yale. Yale Hedera 11.7mm Don't buy it. .
  4. Can you pm me his details as I've been looking for someone reasonably local to work on my bigger, older saws for a while now, if he's interested that is. Cheers.
  5. he absolutely destroyed that interviewer, good on him
  6. Kevin, if you liked that check this, his observations and analysis are very refreshing given the tsunami of trendy leftist politically correct rubbish we're forced to tolerate these days - [ame= ] [/ame]
  7. classic Paul Joseph Watson [ame= ] [/ame]
  8. Yes, it's part of the reason Brexit happened, that and the free movement of cheap labour from Eastern Europe in which Eastern European workers are exploited by low wages to increase the profits of the multi-national corporations. Why do you think Jeremy Corbyn was so quiet in the run up to the EU referendum? His old labour values were at odds with workers being exploited by globalisation. He also recognises why Trump won by taking blue collar former democrat voters away from Clinton, voters who she'd abandoned to the whim of global market forces. .
  9. so you're happy to see towns and cities and entire communities left on the scrapheap due to globalisation? .
  10. Yes .
  11. His message to white working class voters about trade and how their jobs have been exported overseas overrides any concerns about any of the above comments or statements and any other list you want to add to that. White working class voters in America are rightly concerned about the loss of their jobs and the breakdown of their communities. Obama, Clinton and the Democrat Party actively supported globalisation regardless of the negative impact on the American people. The same applies to Brexit and how the working class of the U.K. Have been marginalised and dictated to by the political establishment here and in the EU. People are sick to the back teeth of not being heard by a detached metropolitan elite who inhabit politics, the media, academia and celebrity culture. Trump's victory and Brexit are a rejection of these people and their globalisation agenda. .
  12. No offence taken. So you reject a downward spiral of increasing violence due to your experiences living through the troubles, that's understandable. It's all the more reason for you to robustly condemn the violence of the Clinton supporters. .
  13. Because if it was a group of whites attacking a black Clinton supporter it would be headlines around the world. As it is, the video has hardly been covered by any mainstream media outlets. You don't see the hypocrisy do you? The double standards?
  14. The violence was carried out by the Clinton supporters His point is that the mainstream media covered up this violence because it didn't fit their pro-Clnton narrative The Clinton campaign gave material support for violence against Trump supporters and the mainstream media in turn gave tacit approval of the violence by refusing to cover the stories. ....and you're saying Paul Watson is out of order for delivering his vids in a provocative style which is merely designed to provoke thought not violence. .
  15. wake up ffs [ame= ] [/ame]
  16. Paul Joseph Watson nails it again - [ame= ] [/ame]
  17. Scum. And people wonder why Americans want guns for self defence By the way if that was a white gang savagely beating a black Clinton supporter it'd be front page and top headline on every mainstream media outlet worldwide. .
  18. Excellent news on Trump's win. Great to see the liberals in meltdown and mainstream media sick. Wtf did they expect anyway?! The American people to doff their caps to the elites in politics, media and academia for another 8 years. No chance. Nice one to all my friends in the states. Brexit x 10 indeed. . .
  19. Paul Joseph Watson's critique of Michael Moore's support for Clinton is spot on [ame= ] [/ame]
  20. Jules, Why is the heavy reduction needed? .
  21. Aborted Enteloma? Seen something similar years ago on Douglas Fir. Is it a fruiting body which has been parasitised like we see Taphrina do to Birch, but the FFB has been been malformed by another fungus for some reason. Either that or its Pleurotus not yet fully formed as David says.
  22. John P, earlier in the thread you called the Mail 'a far right bile machine' what part of this story is far right? UK Guantanamo detainee Shaker Aamer praises the Daily Mail for 'fighting' for release | Daily Mail Online Mick, Eggs read my last post there's a big clue.
  23. In most cases as soon as you hear someone slagging it off you know they are or desperately want to be seen as "left wing" in the most hackneyed, predictable and pseudo intellectual way.........ie "Look at me! I'm a LEFT WING PROGRESSIVE! because it's LEFT WING to say you hate The Daily Mail!" "I'm a social justice warrior!!" "My name is Mick Dempsey!" When in reality saying you hate The Daily Mail as way of making a political statement is akin to an undergraduate student from a privileged background wearing a Che Guevara T-Shirt for a few years at uni. as a side note, I noticed the Daily Mail is directly involved in the latest Clinton Emails development, who'd have believed it? right there at the coal face of the biggest story in the world right now. Where is The Guardian? The Observer?
  24. You usually find that a visceral hatred of The Daily Mail tells you everything you need to know about the person who hates it and almost nothing about The Daily Mail itself.
  25. any diameter Grillon - no. If you do a lot of removals and you want a robust durable wire core flipline that lasts then the 3 Metre Komet Reglex Machoire is the way to go. There's a lot of good information in this Wesspur video on fliplines especially why the diameter of the flipline itself is important [ame= ] [/ame] .
