  4. Hello all Don't know if any of you can help me but thought it's worth a go. My blackberry Bold has been working fine at home on the WI-Fi from my home hub since I've had it(about 3 months) but the other night it just stopped, everything else works just fine, the pc and laptop at home still go on the Wi-Fi network, which to me suggests it's the phone Anyone else had these issues??? Cheers peeps
  5. Some sort of V.T. that in all honesty changes each time I tie it!!! What about you?

    The Wire

Started this thread some time back........call me a trail blazer if you like, but now this series is on BBC2 I was wondering if anyone has fallen for its charms, gritty realistic drama at its very best. I'm on series 4 now and it's still A1 Gotta get in to it people!!!!!!!!!!
  7. That HAD crossed my mind the other day Yorkshireman
  8. I know Ross used to love his Art, but I always thought the price tag seems a little steep. Was going to get a Hitch Climber!!!!!!!!!! Need advice on the harness side of things though!
  9. So peeps It's that time of year where I spend most of the day on the M25 in order to get to and from Cirencester for the Arb fair. What's on everyone's shopping list this year?? The must have item of Summer 2009 is...........................???????????? I need the usuals, rope, new harness, maybe some ballistics few karabiners, etc etc.
  10. It's ALL in the timing old friend
  11. Looks like you're getting some good stuff out there mate. Family OK?
  12. Mate that sounds like a real corker of a job, you need to be a lot less subtle in the hints that you drop around about break times!!!!!!!! Take a leaf out of my book!!!!
  13. Perhaps I'm just not that good at "networking"
  14. Evenin' all Just seeing if any of you guys/gals have joined a local business club with views to increasing work?? If so what are your thoughts on them? Did they work? How did you find them?? I joined one about 6months or so ago..............in my opinion what a crock of s***. Not much work from it at all, 6.30 starts on Friday morns, crap breakie and full of people seriously lacking a sense of perspective. But hey ho it's just my opinion, if you want my advice, save the money, buy some extra flyers!!!!
  15. Things are good mate, could always be better.

If I were you I would get those letters/emails out asap, and then repeat them all again in a month or so's time. Don't be afraid to be a pain in the arse, most times people read the letter/email once then forget about it, all you will be doing is jogging their memory!!!!

I think you will be quiet for a little while but exercise some patience and I'm sure you'll be rewarded. Cast your net wide and you'll get some bites!!!!

Still working on the missus for the car on 26th June.

    Take care

  16. Alright mate, how are the plans going?

  17. Rob asked me to give him a couple of days, said something about some pops, didn't mention anything about them being dodgy, I couldn't fit them in so did not go and see them. Are they that bad???? What ya gonna do??? Will you climb them??? As you get older you do indeed get wiser, those things you never used to blink an eye at somehow seem much more important now!!!!!!! It's called self-preservation
  18. Are these pops in a caravan park in Minster/Monkton, Mark?
  19. Take Justin up on that one mate.

They're good lads up at Hither Green

  20. I was looking 2 years ago to spend approx 6k and all the timberwolf's that I found were mullered with loads of hours on the clock. Settled for a Kwikchip222 turntable, heavy as hell but a great chipper, simple, never lets me down. Built like a tank. Try looking at Thorne Engineers site, a google search should find it. They do a great job of refurbs.
  21. Did you say you reckon it'll cost you about £1k to get set up?? What would you be getting?

Harness. silky, ropes, biners, small lowering kit........does all that come to a grand?? Might be worth holding on till the show, there is always deals to be had up there!

Only prob is, it's the end of June!!!

    How's Mark been wiht you?

  22. Thinking about picking up a new harness at the arb fair myself this year, but the choice is huge nowadays, gone are the days when you had the choice of 3 belts, Willans, Merrist wood harness and the good old GP parachutes harness. I've allways used SKY Belts .....on my 4th now but I fancy something alittle diferrent myself, I too like the look of the Treemotion. Can't you take it with you Mark and save a few squids?? Maybe buy the whole kit ropes, biners, etc etc off M.J.
  23. Morning Mark

Senior membership is reserved only for very special people who had made significant contributions to the arb world, they begged me to become senior........what could i do??

Also if you make over 100 posts it automatically happens!!!!!!!!!! HA HA

As far as the arb fair goes that same thought had entered my mind I'm trying to get Vanessa's car, but I think she's on a hen weekend that week. I will let you know how I get on with that one. Take care mate speak soon. W

  24. Mate I've seen you climb and I KNOW you'll have no problems at all once people have seen what you can do, like Steve says competition climbing is a totally different thing.
