  1. Beer tent! How did I not find a beer tent! Must be getting old, that or suffering from post Jonsie shock syndrome.
  2. Interesting Beech. A couple of pics. of an oak on the farm.
  3. Roy Francis Plant sales has some interesting machines for sale and hire (in Wiltshire)
  4. Don't know if it was a moment of shame, but I still cringe with the memory of it 20 odd years on. While visiting my Sis I got into an "animated conversation" about music with a fellow guest. As I was leaving her boyfriend asked if I knew who I was talking to.:blushing:
  5. Husky D, I,m in snowy Chippenham.I would have expected to be able to get a a 13/64 from a Stihl dealer.I was defo. gruntled at the gentle ribbing for wanting the correct sharpening kit.Should have gone to Listers where the saw came from,or phoned F.R.Jones. Grumble over now.:001_smile:
  6. Good luck with finding the right size for a Stihl 3/8 chain. My local dealer says they don't exist!
  7. Good job some of us have the sense to put a jap engine into our Land Rovers. I,ve used mine to tow start a scammel wrecker off road:w00t: (Weston park the weekend that lady Di died) Any advance on that chaps?
  8. Have you C.E. marked it? Silly question of course,i'm sure your compliance file is all in place.
  9. It was sad to hear.Morph and Master will live on in our memories. Wallace and Grommit will see to it.
  10. We had one locally that got stuck roadside way out in the lanes on the edge of of a drop.Took over a week to get it out.
  11. Climbing kit LOLER’d every 6 months Rigging Kit every 12 months. Ah,that explains why we have to tell a crane hire company if we intend to use the crane for man-riding.Cheers.
  12. Series III diesel Land Rover 109,soooo slow I keep expecting to get stuck behind me in traffic 26 years on.
  13. Glad you said it John.Wasn't brave enough here.
  14. On wheeled machines,I write "Stolen from.........reward offered.followed by phone number." on the rims and inside the tyres.Tyre fitters are not well paid and would be likely to respond to this.(I hope not to have this theory tried out) Otherwise use letter stamps or weld in post code as if ground out they can be acid etched to reveal the original. And photograph all of your unique identifiers! Too many thieves get off due to insufficient evidence and a clever defence lawyer.
  15. Evnin sor.Got sweaty palms now sir. As a recent entry to the shining path of the certified, a work experienced instructor is easier to take seriously.Go for it.
  16. Must be in a dodgy area, some scumbag has had the engine and gearbox away without them noticing.
  17. I was thinking of hiring a couple of big issue sellers for a temporary closure. Everybody and their dog seem to do anything but go near them. A well thought out mix of double glazing salesmen, preachers and random nutters could quite simply make a highway a no go area.
  18. I'd go for milk stone remover from the local farm supplies. Cheap and very effective, even cleans concrete mixers!
  19. We love five bar tread plate, says it all.
  20. Wow,the new year is really looking up,cheers. That little saw was handy for getting the "organised sequence of cuts" into my head for 31 (snedding),right up to the point that I spotted the family next door watching from their upstairs landing.
  21. Can I quote you on that? Oh, I seem to have already, cheers.
  22. Yup done the 16 tonner out of the ditch, the driver was not supprised. Not done the alternator yet. My Landy is like grandfathers axe though!
  23. The machine that lifted it in would have been worth seeing.
  24. Ill octopus need love too.
  25. Happy new year to all. Perfect weather here for watching the fireworks & still enough for the floating lanterns! Good start.:001_smile:
