    nowt cheap this year.. £35-45 per builders bag 1/2 m3. plus 10% buyers premium plus vat. tidy little show,ostrich burgers nice , venison not so. good chat with chris shepard on riko stand. artic load mixed hardwood 23.25t got to 925£ and didnt sell,not surprised, as plus 10% plus vat.plus delivery over 25 miles. wood was of mixed quality,logged this year,,where is all the properly seasoned stuff, two years in the log.???not in the cord.

    18 stoner, no its not ok, my .75 m3 bags are at £55 and standard .5 m3 are at 40 then probably £45 for winter.

    Rather variable quality and size dave. What processor u got. 2 days for 2 men or 4 days on your own, quicker if yu leave that front rack of oversize on.even earnshaws sell oversize cheaper.

    oregon pro lite. clarkes from dumfries are cheaper than ebay. 4litre of chain oil/day, 8 / 9 hrs sharpen + tension after about 13t. have you done basic chainsaw maint ???

    i was asking the question for you to provide some facts and figures in order to have a direct comparison. Try and eliminate and or quantify at least some of the variables,wood verses oil,gas,coal/coke, otherwise its like the begining of this thread,how long is a piece of string.?

    How much is gas,? WOOD FUEL energy value, CALU Factsheet CALU Centre for Alternative Land Use hardwood @ £100/m3 equates to an Kwh of 10p. iam with eon paying 9.14p house and 18.09p buildings. a bit of a difference for buisness rate.what are you paying.?

    Four 0.7 m3 builders bags. 2.8 m3 1.3 tonne fresh wet logs have not weighed seasoned logs..........yet

    Shortage,,,???? Run out,,,,,,,??????????? I live on the edge of sheffield, 5000 ha yes i will repeat 5000ha of woodland owned and controlled by the city council,and most of it going to waste. ITS ANCIENT WOODLAND,but it was all cut for charcoal for the steel industry.
