    Arb Shows

Looks like I'm traveling to the Arb show... Where is good to stay? Cosy B&B, Bachelorhouse, WMCA, your grannies henhouse.....any ideas? Or do I just go to the local Pub and drink myself into oblivion and fall asleap in the mens room? Good way of travelling from London? Rent a carl, go by train, hitch-hike or what? Suggestions and help needed?!?
  16. We have something called "Allemansrätt" -The Right of Public Access, which give people right (or responsibility) to walk on anyones land and pick mushrooms and edible fungus, berries and so on.... But not REDLISTED, threathened species!:w00t: But what do they know....
  17. The design gives the trees water from the roof runoffs but if the water is exessive the water will pass the beds and run down the normal drainage, thus giving the recipients a decreased amount to deal with and impact delay. Ive been involved in a project where trees that were 30 years were dying due to bad planting pit conditions, the trees were felled and replanted in porous beds "Stockholm style" and the result is 30cm growth every year! This was 7 years ago and the trees are almost as big as the old ones!
  18. The seminar will be held in english and the guided tour to an ongoing project will be held in English, Swedish, French or German.
  19. The seminar will be held in English since several of the invited guests are non Swedish speaking. English is widely spoken in Sweden as we start learning english in school at the age of 9 and is complusory for 6 years. Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and is easy to access from several destinations in the UK to its airport Arlanda, or the smaller one Skavsta that runs several daily flights from Stanstead. If anyone missed the link to the invitation i'll repeat it;http://www.calumi.se/storm/gem/
  20. Great pics ! I found Hericium corralloides last year, apparently the only recorded finding in the county! Unfortunatly some moron had broken it off the tree ...
  21. storm Trees Should be an interesting seminar, well worth attending. Stockholm has developed a very healty treestock using porous soils consisting of lumps of rock and designed "treebeds" that is taking advantage of rainwater runoff from the cities roofs:
