  1. I don't mind, this thread has evolved rather nicely! Interesting information and discussion.
  2. So you did get an Ironhorse in the end?! Happy with it? On the one I used there was an "arm" on the winch of about a metre or so as a sort of crane (original part) that is very helpfull when loading logs... makes it selfloading and can lift logs from the side of the ironhorse an onto the bed.

  4. Im pretty sure you dont need more confirmation... The man has spoken.
  5. Let me check airplane tickets first... i 'ave a meetin' at 2pm, shouldn't be a problem.
  6. Unless you point it out to them in writing and they have to respond?
  7. Thanks! Getting prepered for a seminar...

  10. I have been trawling the search result and can't come to a conclusion... Does a failure always precede by fruiting Meripilus? Is it possible for a tree to fall over with no signs of Meripilus before the failure?
  11. Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists - Search Results Try the search feature... youll find loads of comments and valuable info has already been posted, if you have any new input best thing is to post in an existing thread. People tend to be reluctant to answer same questions over and over again. Good luck!
  12. Yeah i have taken a buty like that for a spin on many occasions... downhill, uphill, sideways and even through stairwells in posh areas! You can ride it, winch stuff, load massive amounts of brash and carry logs that are BIG! Highly recomended!

  15. There is different size on the planting tubes aparently... might facilitate broadleafs ?!? Only ever used them for pine, larch, spryce and springbulbs!
  16. No its jammed for us! Any other ways of passing it on? Cheers!
  17. Another Barn owl? Theyre freaking us out everywhere! Conspiracy? Great shots!!! Bens place is pretty sweet!
  18. Beat me to it... Alder rust!
  19. They work on heavy soils, only problem is treading the plants afterwards...
  20. Get one of these instead, they are way cooler! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su97PdcJf0U]Plantering med grävare - YouTube[/ame]
  21. Yes they are widely used over here for plug plants of fir or pine, plants suitable are about 20-30 cm high... no broadleafs. Thy are also brilliant for planting bulbs! Push down the thing, step on handle, drop plug in tube, lift, use foot to tread the plant, move on to next one 3-5000 in a day.... if you are any good! [ame] [/ame]
  22. Have a look at Pholiota squarossum, I think you'll have a match. Dark pic on my phone... Kinda hard to tell.
  23. Thank you for input and valuable opinions. As any tool it's only as good as the person holding it... And as any other invasive or noninvasive tool its important to look at the right spot.
