  1. hi all im really been thinking of buying a 7.5ton grab truck for picking up wood, as smaller trucks can go overweight really easy. I have already got a mog and i dont really want to get a hiab and trailer for that as its espensive. Iv been looking on ebay and autotrader and have seen a few for around £7000 mark. Has anyone got any comments on this or does anyone own a small grab truck. iI doesnt have to be 7.5 ton as im doing my hgv at the moment i was just thinking about if anyone eles had to drive it ???????:wave:
  2. unimogs have got there good points and some bad points i use my mog as much as i use the transit.

  4. iv got both i use the husky more as a like the power. where are you as i have an 084 for sale in very good condition. old but not used much.
  5. i smashed a £350 window with the stump grinder i was using boards to. The worst thing is the stump was only for £80 oh well
  6. my mog will fit down any driveway wich a transit will.
  7. yeh iv filled it up loads of times it drives ok but i drive it slow not point in frashing the guts of of it.I worked in croydon the other day, drove it around the m25 i was a bit nervus driving past the leatherhead turning and we know why that is. Drove full to the brim fine plodding along at 45 to 50 mph on motorway. It does not sway to much and steering is fine. how old is your 130 ??
  8. gearbox has been done on the mog and kingpin i spent a bit on it but its a good bit of kit.
  9. i want to get a tractor with a grab on it for picking up butts with a grain trailor or a 130 landrover tipper im not bothered if i sell it or keep it really cos its always being used its never sitting around for more then 3 days in a row. you wanted to buy it didnt you?? what u got at the mo you always have something good hanging around dont you.

  11. iv got a bullalo had it for 2 years its the bolloxs lol i waer it to work to football and even wore it everyday when i was snowboading exellent all round jaket. iv seen them in silver black blue red and army greeen
  12. k reg 1994 u1650 lwb 5000ish hours full ag spec chip big chip bodie green also premier 400xz 8inch pto year 2000 awsom machine rear linkage and pto no front pto or pick up hitch. much better then anything you will see on atkins web site.

  14. iv got both austrian 1 and the 2 i perfer my the 1st one the positioning on the sliding d is to low on the second. I have been climbing on a treemotion and im going to buy one.
  15. its more pofesional to do written quotes i dont always do it if i alraedy know the customer and have done work for them i sumthimes write it on a card and give it to them and make a note of the price in my diary.

  17. Schiesing 220mx awsome machine timberwolf 190 iv got one its much better then the small 150. there is a second hand Schiesing for sale on earborist looks a good buy.

  19. 70% of college instructors know nothing about the real world of tree work. At merrist wood they have a few instructors who have never even worked in the day to day enviroment. They got there job a college from being a student.
  20. they look like lewis hamiltons race shoes maybe they will make me climb even faster they are £165 from tree worker. Im going to ring around tomorrow see if i can get them cheaper.
  21. My boots are falling to bits iv only really ever worn elten fellsmans and the ones with the plasic toe caps that you can cut though cant remember the name. I was thinking about the stretch air boots ??? anyone help:wave:

  24. ficus this was the best 8. My son wont sleep in the back bedroom on windy nights, he thinks the trees waving at him 24.The tree officer doesnt know what he is talking about.
