  4. Just spent 2days reducing a hedge of them with handsaw and secataures (client wanted them natural looking so no hedge trimmer
  5. Picture the scene a family going away for the weekend the kids bored in the back after a long drive, now finally nearing the holiday cottage they drive along the dark country road. Then on rounding a bend they see silouetted in the headlights a crazed monster wearing nothing but a pair of rigger boots and a bath robe billowing in the wind weilding a large log pummeling a defenceless woodland creature to death..... Hahahahaha. that was one funny story!

    3am! that sucks,we havent got it as nearly that bad just lots of rain,gettin a bit windy now tho.
  17. So how do u bring down a stem? i chog down in firewood or fell 2m sections if theres plenty of room (easier to cut whilst standing i find) Or if i cant be botherd fell in one if theres noting to damage,like garden/plants etc

    Cost for 3 men, truck, good chipper and all the gear, working 9am to 4.30pm: £950 + VAT. Wish i could work thoses hours! $1600+ +gst down here but more than likely wood left on site in rings or wood removed with crane
  19. Any one read these? 01. Your an Arborist NOT a tree surgeon 02. None of your chainsaws will just sit at tickover 03. you've got a tipper transit and the engines **** 04. You spent you first 6 months just dragging and chipping 05.... And you weren't alowed to even touch a climbing kit 06. You've had to de-clogg a chipper more than a dozen times 07. You've cut your self with a silky and have the scars to prove it 08. You've broken something by dropping a limb on it (fence, patio, green house, shed, you vehicle, someone elses vehicle etc.) 09. You get excited with ropes, pulleys, krabs, knots etc. 10. You get very excited with new friction hitches 11. You know the 020 is the ONLY top handled 12. You've dropped an 020 out of a tree 13. Your chainsaw trouses are in pieces 14. You've got a landie stuck 15. You hate re-pollarding street trees 16. You hate lime trees 17. You will kill your self if you ever have to feather and sucker a lime tree again!!
