sweet bro!where abouts are you heading?perfect time of year to come(generally the hottest) yeh with your shoes i had to clean mine with a toothbrush to get them really clean, always sad to leave family and friends but when u get here u forget all about it, if your ever in chch will have to catch up for a beer,(adam lives here to) enjoy the flight

hey nz paul welcome, from what ive learnt living and working here is that everyone is friendly(except the odd one) and helpfull and esay going, also being on arbtalk that i think the trees are just the same size in the uk and here,espcially chch lots of big elms etc and uk natives. most of the take downs we do most people want fire no matter what kinda wood it is because most houses dont have insulation.so lots of firewood guys. Also you can have 4 seasons in one day,but its still not right having xmas in the middle of summer!!!!!

drew-what are those petzl gemeni pulleys like compared to the double ones,for redirects?can you use them for anything else?saw a revolver today at $78,can u get different size's cos i think it was a bigger one than what ive seen before

cheers,yeah there cranes,not sure what the max they can lift but they can lift decent size logs,most removal we do the wood getsl eft onsite in rings or we take it away but we can normally get it with the crane

vt,you'll never look back!its pretty effort less compared to a prussic loop,thats what i use with a home made art cocoon ropeguide,ihad to u use a cam saver the other week and there was so much friction in it,but that's just my opion. -
dirty horrible cabbage trees!ditto dont chip them with a disc chipper.

For long ascents I use a sling between the pulley and harness, thats with a hitchclimber though Tom, have you got any pics of this?i saw it in one of your vids but couldnt figure it out, cheers
