  1. Football teams should be more regulated and be booted out of any league if they are not financially viable and not even allowed to enter if they aren't. Too many go bankrupt owing us the taxpayer millions. I used to go to support Bradford, because I lived in Bradford and it was locals playing
  2. Agree with the above entirely, football is bland now
  3. Chippers are not humane. A cosh or heavy stick strike to the back of the neck at the base of the skull is If you were hit at the back of the head with a baseball bat and you didn't know it was going to happen, you wouldn't know anything about it, if you were fed into a chipper you would
  4. Any living thing that has to be culled deserves a humane despatch imo
  5. Thor are two speed, they come down fast onto the log then automatically go into a slower power mode then go back up on the fast stroke
  6. Fleas are the biggest problem, the nest will be riddled with them. The fleas will jump on you, grab you by the throat and shake you, if you venture too close to the drey, little sods they are
  7. It is illegal to release captured greys, best way is send 50 grams of lead through the nest at 1400 fps job done
  8. Cheers for that J. Will do The grand designs expo was really good, it was vast and you needed a full day to walk round it properly. The only thing that spoiled it was salesmen jumping out in front of you all the time and wasting the time you need to see everything. From dog sponsoring to double glazing salesmen it was an absolute pain in the backside, if I,m interested in a product I will ask, I don't need pestering. It ended up in the end with me having to be rude to them otherwise I wouldn't have got round the show
  9. I am only looking into basic stuff at the moment J . I am going to employ an architect and throw all my ideas at them and let them work out what is good and what is bad. One thing I really want to incorporate is that heat recovery ventilation stuff and the central boiler using arb waste idea. I had a look at the passive stuff at the grand designs show last week but that is really hard to get your head round, they said even the heat from a laptop can add to the temperature ??
  10. Have you wound the phone up Ian, maybe the main spring is over wound
  11. I,m going to be perfectly honest and open with planning and going to see them beforehand and im not going for approval via some loophole. Eventually I want three cabins on site, but will only apply for two to start, all heated from a single boiler run from arb arisings from the business next door, ie, my woodchip and logs, each building will also have solar panels and an electric heater backup and will be as near carbon neutral as they can possibly be. I also intend to apply for a 10kw turbine on site, being that the buildings will be virtually carbon neutral, 90% of the energy produced will be pumped into the national grid and hopefully the purchase cost will be paid back in as little as two year. In effect the buildings will have a huge minus carbon rating, I don't see how I can tick any more boxes for planning approval
  12. Nah....chainsaw is worth more (-:
  13. Planning was approved for a 10,000 square foot steel framed and clad building so I reckon two Eco low impact log buildings will be a lot easier to Gain permission for
  14. Here Paul Log House Plans - Log Designs at Architectural Designs Magazine
  15. They are very nice Paul, but for some reason they remind me of Germany ??? I like the rustic look like this
  16. At the side of my yard Tom, it's half acre yard with an acre of woodland and grassed area to the side, 1.5 acres altogether, I can then just lean out the window and fire catapults at any log thieves
  17. Hahaha Yes rich there are springs on both covered with a rubber guide
  18. Your time will come Rob, just get your head down work for it mate
  19. Worked today, had to do a job this morning that took me 1.5 hours. I worked for this guy previously and he mentioned he had a chainsaw he never uses and would I be interested. This time he offered it me as payment for the job, nice one, been used once and is as new. See.... It doesn't always rain for Deano
  20. Looks like the plan may be going ahead subject to a lot of research and planning permission. My dad lives next door to me and when I mentioned it to him his eyes lit up and he said he would sell up too and do the same, which means there would be two luxury Eco friendly log homes side by side with a central log burner heating both homes with a huge pile of free logs just yards away
  21. When I traded my old landcruiser in for a newer one, the old landcruiser had cover nearly half a million miles and had nothing more major than a new alternator. They are not over priced, they are priced so because the parts used to build them are top quality and built to last My defender has covered 165k miles and has had two new engines, two gearboxes, one transfer box, a new front axle, every part in the braking system has been replaced.......in fact it,s easier to say that the only original parts are the chassis, cab and back axle
  22. Cheers Josh, I,ll have a scan tonight, working today
  23. The building is treated outside with a breathable coating of varnish and inside with a fire retardant. They would need retreating every seven years on the outside if you use a good quality product
  24. I saw that one when he first had it built, that's what got me interested. The only thing I would do it fit a temporary kitchen and bathroom as tims kitchen got crushed when the building shrank
