  1. Looks like that tree off Harry potter
  2. Must have a good splitter Cabstar. I couldn't do that quantity in a day. What do you have?
  3. Couldn't you get a bigger crane and just lift it in one
  4. Yeh yeh yeh Walked into that one didn't I ?
  5. Nokia N95 5 mega Pixel Good camera phone don't you think.
  6. I have found the site slows right up occassionally Steve. I just leave it for 10 mins and it seems ok then, seems to do it when there are a lot of users on.
  7. You can if you take it off in stages, but you end up knacked at the end of the day
  8. If you count topping a tree to within two feet of the ground then I have topped hundreds.
  9. That would have been a sight to behold. Left the stump live, so it holds up all the crap dumped behind and holds the loose rock together. Owner promised to call me in every 3-4 years to keep it pruned.
  10. I have a high opinion of you really skyhuck, but don't tell too many people will you!
  11. The shape of Eds @rse should be no concern of yours. Did he sell it? You worry me sometimes Huck
  12. If it has been specified by the council it is normally specified for a reason. I aim to do a crown reduction so that to the untrained eye, you can't tell it's been done. The tree shouldn't lose it's shape. There's a difference between nipping off the leaders (Formative pruning) and hacking a huge lump off the top.
  13. Found this in Huddersfield last year, had to pull up and photo it. Another example of not taking the trees at the bottom of the garden into consideration when the house was bought. Haven't been working in Huddersfield have you Skyhuck
  14. Cheers Monkeyd. The idea was to get straight back on the horse and ride it, so to speak and you probably couldn't have picked a worse job to throw yourself back into. I was a little apprehensive when the roots started to move, although I did know it was only the tree sitting up with the weight off.
  15. This is the cliff top Oak I did the day after the cherry picker accident. It was due to sit ontop of the cliff bring this thing in bit by bit. We did the job maually no problem, the cliff was about 40ft - 50ft with a house right under the tree. The only problem was when we took the weight off the tree it sat up abit and where it was limpeted onto the cliff face started to come loose and bits of rock fell out. Note the groundy with saftey rope attached and me with no helmet (So hot we were dehydrating).
  16. They do come in handy for shaping smaller trees to get the whispy bits and for knocking low down deadwood.
  17. ????????????? Can't make out what you are saying Logologist
  18. Ever thought of doing finance Jonesie, for the new ventures, seems to be a market for it?
  19. The only place really Jay is Ebay, but buying second hand two strokes is a mine field, even if you know what you are doing. You never can tell whether they have been looked after properly, ie decent two stroke oil used and mixed correctly. The only way is to feel the compression, the problem is two strokes have bottom end compression which is difficult to guage, the only way is to take the exhaust off and check the piston skirt for scoring. You can't do that on ebay, you are taking a chance most of the time, buying used
  20. How do you find your 192t Shansen, I was thinking of getting one just for pruning as it is a lot lighter than the 200t and keep my 200 for take downs.
  21. You've got to love em! The It wasn't me Dad, it was them!
  22. I think he means, your going to look silly if that is you in the picture, because all of the blokes on here are saying they fancy you.
