  1. Mines been ten times better since having the pump done. However, you have been spoilt with a patrol, so anything in comparison will feel sluggish.
  2. Harness looks ok but side D's look like they could be a pain in the elbow!
  3. He was only shaking the tree to dislodge a snagged branch as well !!
  4. Bit sharp today jamie, had a bad day?
  5. :icon14: Something like halving the population
  6. Ring round your local farmer who have copses on their land, even better call in personally and ring www.woodlands.co.uk and tell them what you want and where. I purchased 3.5 acres some time ago for 10k
  7. Love the last photo Adam Looks like you were trying to squeeze one out  What was the harness?
  8. Anything built from wood is a temporary structure.
  9. That sounds like it's worth doing some flight browsing???
  10. I see countryside day in day out, I sit in fields shooting day in day out. I train dogs in the countryside, I shoot pheasants and do shoot captain in the countryside. I game keep, in the countryside. I split logs, in the countryside. I live, breathe and eat the countryside Sometimes a man just wants a bit of clostrophobia every now and again
  11. That's £54 per week and probably plus vat. Sounds a bit steep to me. Just for keeping your logs dry
  12. Sounds like we need a Cull then, now where do we start Suggestions on a postcard please.
  13. Yeh, he's looking for the good looking men.
  14. I find CCTV signs don't work. They simply pull their hoody up. A "BEWARE, PREMISES BOOBY TRAPPED" seems to work better. I saw a novel one the other day Went something like, " Don't bother wasting your time breaking in, everything as already been stolen"
  15. I went to fill up at Heartshead Service M62 the other day and ended up only putting a tenner in after realising it was £1.19 a litre It's getting silly now with prices. What I can't understand is we have the capacity to make our own diesel using crops, so why don't we and why isn't it pushed. The government claim fuel is taxed heavily because of pollution. Biodiesel is enviromentally friendly. The gov would not be able to tax it and would lose billions of tax revenue, they are not interested in a green future, they are just interested in keeping the books straight. On the subject of firewood, you should ask for the store manager and tell him your findings, he will be unaware of moisture content and the supplier will be getting away with supplying green wood and rubbing his hands together.
  16. A 660 t fell a little tree like that? I'd have used my 200T
  17. Can't say I've ever had problems with stihl. Can't say the same for Husqvarna. Last one used to shake it's exhaust off every two minute and snap exhaust bolts in the head for fun. Clutches disintegrating etc etc
  18. I've heard the same Been here all my life and haven't seen most of it.
  19. Shes looked at that hotel by the eye, it comes up on searches. If we can take the car, I may consider it, may ring them tomorrow or Monday and find out the score. Did you park in their car park.
  20. Clackton Edingburgh looks inviting, never thought of going further north. Liverpool MB ?? I haven't got any locking wheelnuts.
  21. The Wifes got 4 days off this coming weekend and wants to go away for the weekend without the kids. She initially thought about London, not take the car, travel down by train and book a city centre hotel, see the sights. Not keen on the idea without car, I know theres plenty to see but don't want to get on the train with hundreds of commuttors and wouldn't look forward to it. I would rather take car to a country hotel or B&B where theres a nice country pub and travel out each morning to see the sights etc. Problem is where do we go. Been trawling the internet and can't come up with owt. Any suggestions. Needs to be somewhere wheres theres plenty to see and do. ...and no, we don't want to come to someones yard where theres plenty to do splitting logs.
  22. Think of the comments more as terms of endearment, they are very well respected off road and on. My mates below that we cammed up while he wasn't watching.
  23. Preferably somewhere within woodland. You can put a leanto up with telegraph poles easy enough. I know you can get away with quite a bit within woodlands, ie forestry. I dont know how you would stand for paying rates etc with just a normal yard.
  24. My mates gaylander left me standing or should I say bogged down coming out of a very soft grassed field uphill. I had the defender, with weight on, with Anacondas . He had road tyres on. That traction control system is a cracking thing.
