  3. They dont blunt your saw if you accidently hit them, the wooden/alloy ones are ok once you've used a sledge hammer on them.
  4. Lukes not my groundy, he's my mates groundy but we work together a lot.. He was with me this aft to clear a job fast in return for looking at his bosses transit as it failed it's MOT He ended up getting a dig and whipped with a holly branch for being lippy

This one was a little Hornbeam I took down today, was supposed to dismantle it but couldn't be bothered, there was room for error and had to do a high felling cut to fit it where it was supposed to fit, it looks to touch the gutter on the house but it actually missed by about 2" tree was only about 35 foot.   12. Never thought about it Tommer, I have about ten potted up in the back garden, should really get some 10 litre sacks and grow them up to standards
  13. There used to be a little xmas tree planting near us John, but within a few years the word went round and everyone helped themselves, nothing left there now!!
  14. Not on my land, I already have 300 mature Oak on 3.5 acres but I have been known to stick a few in my neighbours land all round the edges especailly some Hybrid pop whips I came across
  15. It will be seeds, warm moist enviroment. My chip pile is under an Oak canopy, there are literally thousands of little oak trees growing at the edges in spring.
  16. Couldn't someone from Kielder forest pick one them for you John?? I find it quite bizzare to travel all that way to choose a tree

I did that with a customer, told him I'd leave the logs for him to sell to get back some of his money, ringed them to splittable sizes for hime then even told him if he couldn't sell them I would come back and clear them for nothing, I even told him how much to advertise them for... The logs are still there 12 months on, probably too stubborn to admit he was wrong.

  19. I can only dance when I'm blind drunk.. I have some Yew that I have in three foot lengths and I have had them stood on end for 12 months undercover. I also have a meaty chunk about 14" across and 18" long I want to get something good out of but dont know how long to leave it
