  1. I'm off on Ebay, I bet there's a fortune in the tyres ??
  2. What make is it Stevie
  3. You are right, but I would have used less strong terminology
  4. It will make an awesome loader, I'm quite jealous really' You could even pipe it up and have a quick hitch logsplitter for the front and all manner of implemnets Looks a strong capable beastie
  5. Thats why I have two ropes on it for feel and steering, advanced technology mate, think outside the box
  6. £600 then !!!!
  7. Why would you try to use it upside down
  8. Why do I need a kill switch when the mowers 20ft away ...and it's not a flymo, it's a specailist Allen Banking mower
  9. I'm a little envious really Stevie, I bet it's a right little dozer, be able to doze chip and muck piles about, put a quick change on and have an assortment of implements. Not so sure about the crap on the back, would be no use to me Give you £500 for it !!
  10. Where's your spreader plates for the crane legs That foot could've punched striaght through the tarmac on that pavement into a services duct
  11. ...and before you know it you have ten times as much foliage, ten times as many branches all of which will grow at an increased rate If it was done to reduce sail, then you have made the problem ten times worse If it was done to allow light in the you have given them a temporary fix but in the long run made the problem much worse. Then when it comes to re- reducing it will take ten times as many cuts and be more hazzardous because you have also removed the high anchor. Please do tell.... were the reductions for the benefit of the tree or the tree owner, because quite frankly, I fail to see what benefits are for the tree unless the tree is being re-trenched to reduce sail area because of a fault or weakness
  12. Haha, you beat me to it Yes they are crampons, that slope is bigger than it looks, my dad strims the bottom 7ft or so and I work above him with crampons strimming the next 7ft or so, which saves loads of time and effort of not having to mow using the mower on a long rope which is hard to keep going and see what your doing. Blaisey, I bought them for tree work but thought I'd wear them in today bit by bit, I took another pair of boots just in case they hurt after a while but they turned out ok I'll wear them for climbing next
  13. Bought these Pfanner boots 6 months ago and haven't had the heart to wear them because they were that pretty I didn't want to get them mucky Bit of stunt mowing for Stevie too. Next time I mow I'll do a vid of wheelying the mower. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV1hpHDjDaM]YouTube - Stunt mowing[/ame]
  14. I'm itching to come over to your workshop for a rummage round Bob, but it's finding time, I'm up to my neck in work, so much to do so little time to do it
  15. Guess you wont mind me calling you a "right plonker Rodney"
  16. My sister broke her neck and didn't go to A&E for two days, when she did she was immediatey strapped and braced up and ended up with a police escort in an ambulance 10 miles to leeds st james on the M62 during morning rush hours at 10mph Ouch, I bet there was a lot of reall pee'd off commuters that morning. She made a full recovery
  17. Because I get on well with my Natwest Business Manager I agreed for him to give a quote and proposal for critical and life cover. They are underwritten by Norwich Union. We started the proposal in Sept last year and after numerous correspondance we finally got a price and proposal today. Our lass had an on going doctors appointment for virtigo which they wouldn't quote for until results had come back. I read through the conditions of the critical illness and have rung up today to tell them to stick their insurance as a result and will be going instead with AXA. Loss of Hands or feet: The Natwest arrangement require the loss of two limbs, AXA only one, particularly important when you consider my occupation. I would find it quite difficult cutting two arms off whilst holding the chainsaw with one of them. Paralysis of Limbs: The natwest / Norwich union arrangement again require two limbs to be paralised before paying out. AXA just one Coronary Heart Bypass Surgery: The Natwest / NU arrangement will demand that a Sternotomy (splitting of the breast bone ) is done during surgery. The AXA contract will enable a claim to be made if the operation is carried out by Keyhole surgery. My local hospital (leeds St James) only use keyhole. Absolutely shocking conditions
  18. I'm guessing he probably didn't know his back was broken at the time
  19. Hahaha, I meant in the first pic, if you are talking about the black eye, that is the norm round here, I thought they were fashion accessories, everyone in huddersfield town centre seems to have one As for the paddling gear, nowt wrong with trying to save a bit of brass lad
  20. He doesn't use it Charlie, he leaps in the landy from 10ft away, the handle has become redundant so has been removed
  21. I have no idea charlie, he just asked me if I had a tractor and if it had a front loader which I use for logs and chip. I just told them my apprentice doesn't go anywhere near it and he accepted that as ok. With regards to the tirfor, I supposed it's because it can be used for lifting or lowering a load, not neccessarily that it will be I think they go well over board on a College H&S assessment myself
  22. So where's the injury
  23. The college wanted me to loler the car jack, the front loader on the tractor, the winch on the front of the landy and a tirfor I very very rarely use
  24. Technically the jack in the landrover should be lolered.
