  1. I'm on the calderdale kirklees boundary. Today I ventured into Stockport some dump called strines road in marples. (-:
  2. He had his wellies on the wrong feet on the test drive
  3. Navara auto definitely has learning mode, in your case Ian, it will have learnt to drive in old man mode
  4. Working over the hill today and couldn't believe this, five bins!! We in Calderdale, get 1 bin
  5. Ive just got 5% off a new polaris ranger with NFU
  6. Jon, I have the Utah Auto and it pulls like a train, even with 3.5t on. I don't know whether its the case with isuzu, but most vehicles now "learn" how the driver drives. If you drive them hard they will adapt to that style of driving. If you have taken a test vehicle out that has been driven steady on test drives it may be the case it hasn't learnt to drive hard ???
  7. No problems with mine Jon, it pulls my mewp 3.5t no problem at all, plenty of pulling power, I think you must have had the wrong wellies on Jon when you test drove one , did you test the manual or the auto
  8. I know what you mean Ian, we will have to see what happens in time, thats the only way they'll prove themselves. I does all depend on how well engineered they are, all they are doing is making them more efficient. The old lumbering engines such as donkey engines were probably only 30% efficient and I bet in the future, they'll squeeze even more out of an engine which will make these new super efficient engines look like donkey engines
  9. Don't agree with that mate, the Dmax has the landcruiser transfer box (apparently) and if your towing, get the the Dmax auto. The Dmax has been aimed squarely at the farmer / towing market. I had top of the range Nissan Auto it broke down 5 times in four week. I now have top of the range Dmax Auto and have towed over the limit with it no problems and no glitches
  10. A fault I knew was there and put off doing like I said in that post, lack of maintenance, my fault.
  11. Ive had my 130 for over ten years, its 1998 and done 178k, it has not broke down once. Poor maintenance is generally to blame for breakdowns on land rovers
  12. I put the Mewp on the back of the Isuzu the other day and it dealt with it no problem, theres only one other vehicle I have driven that dealt with it better and that was the Amazon. I reckon with pickups there,s much and nothing between them, to be honest I found very little difference between the Navara auto and the isuzu auto when it came to driving it about and towing. If your bothered about jiggling about when towing stick some weight in the tub
  13. Mine looked good....but sadly Nissan workshops had it in their possession 4 x longer than me.
  14. Thats swung it, much better than Dave at Isuzu
  15. Isuzu have the 5 year warranty though Steve, compared to 3 year for the Navara
  16. That defender looks like it would take a few dents Simon
  17. Thats an Hair dressers car, Tommyb would look good in that one
  18. Is it an expensive retro fit (65xl) or is it a full system fitted on a new build Dean ?
  19. is that a momentary reverse when the feed stops ?
  20. Why not make or invest in an air burner, or just up your price to the customer and let them pay for the disposal. It should all be included in the quote. Alternatively you could always just tip it in a lay-by or country lane like many individuals do near me.
  21. Same here Andy, you need owt let us know
  22. I had the same in my containers where the mice were getting in and out of a little hole, once I electrified the container they were ok till they either exited or entered the container where they made a bridge to earth. It solved the problem. One thing you could try is securing the food source in an ibc or some other seal able container. Remove the food source, you remove the rats it's that simple. Rats will breed according to the food source. The more available the more rats will breed. They will breed faster than you can deal with them. I know a company that spent thousands of pounds a year on rentokil. They were tipping corn dust in a skip, I advised them to dispose of it another way and robbed rentokil of a decent income
  23. I had tempur for ten years. They are great but not if you are like me and toss and turn all night. Problem is they take a while to mould to you as it's the hear from your body that helps it to mould and if you are moving all the time ??? I Our lass goes to sleep and dunt move all night (that happens too often lately) and she thought it was great. I think they do different firmness ratings too. I would go for the softest and get the expensive over blanket too, it helps with the heat
  24. The handle is hollow, unless you fill the handle as well your always going to have vapour expansion room
