  1. cheers guys, unfortunately ive only just thought about it, and its too late to ring the council as i wanted to do it at the weekend, but found a website called mouseprice, while ill not take it for gospel it suggests its not council homes.
  2. haha, to be honest id thought of that, but me not being the most tactful, id probably come across being a bit rude!
  3. ive got a job coming up, its occured to me is there a way of checking if its a council house or not? without sounding rude it looks like it could be. i could see the situation of someone wanting the tree removing, the council not doing it as its not DDD, and the tennant having it done himself!! any advice much appreciated
  4. Ben I dont think I ever had my marbles! so I guess that's somehow the reason for the air bubbles? I wondered if it was reformed meat. Either way I still won't be eating it, haha.
  5. haha there was one a while ago on the landy forums with a stuck defender in the falklands, sure it showed a helicopter lifting it out!
  6. haha we had a tipper stuck in my old job, no pics but the same sort of thing, 7.5t komatsu wouldnt shift it and a u1600 wouldnt either. then his mate came along in another 8 wheeler and pulled it out no probs.
  7. tried googling this on the net but cant find an answer. does anyon know whats going on with the sliced, cooked beef, its normally prepackaged but can be in the bit where they slice it off a piece. thing is im very picky bout my meat and ill only buy beef like the above if it looks dry (never buy it in a packet), like a joint onedoes when you cook it at home. now some of these slices of beef are very "wet" and have "air bubbles". hopefully this makes sense, just wondering what it is? has it had water injected into it or somethin? cheers
  8. i put a post up a few weeks ago on here about it, only one guy said he had it and it was ok, ive dediced not to shell out the 1.79 for it cos im tight!
  9. just reading that, i wondered why the stop/bar button wasnt pressed, then realised after the initial end of the rope had gone in would it of wrapped round the flywheel, which wouldnt of stopped rotating?anyone had a rope go through, what happens?
  10. i saw this and thought the same about the chip box. the hopper is about the same height as usual its just hinged up. after spending many an hour towing towalongs behind my 90 and getting stuck, i think it has some uses tho they are limited.
  11. dont kinow about the twisted part, but im pretty sure all gaffs are steel its the main "frame" thats alloy, carbon etc
  12. you dont need back support ben, you dont work hard enough:001_tt2:
  13. haha you know me well! davey, so whats the crack does it just show it smaller, or without the ads etc?
  14. think someone doesnt know the difference between an inch and a foot!! saw this near where ive been working recently, just shows the sopciety we live in.
  15. yeah thats the one, everytime i come n here it flashes up about it,its the only forum i use that does tho. but its not cheap if its crap!
  16. Anyone use the iPhone native app? Is it worth it for 1.79? Cheers guys
  17. ive just bought a 300 and had thought the same, but realistically what is going to be unique to it? bearings, belts and anything engine wise will all be easily obtainable from engineering places etc. the only real thing i can see is blades and anvil but saturn do new blades. saying that i might be missing something?
  18. weve just been going through this at work, i thought it was a requirment too, for a three point chin strap. cant see the elstic type husky ones been muh good in a fall?
  19. just athought but have you tried a different nfu office?
  20. dont think its possible unless you have an old tank at home as there needs to be a take off point on the bottom of the tank to get the liquid. if you do you can buy both hand and electric pumps to transfer it. wouldnt worry bout customs its not like they can dip the tank!! faling that unless youve got a lpg garage close by i wouldnt bother its a bit of a ball ache when theres one close by!
  21. I'm interested where is it and how much? Cheers mike
  22. Cheers for the replies. Just got to find someone to sell/give me some scaffold now.
  23. sorry forgot too add that, im after putting logs on it. so if its about 200kg per length and there'll be three lengths with boarding over them im looking at about half a ton ish. ok cheers guys. i might have to think about putting legs in the middle to increase it.
  24. ok im making a shelf in my lockup, its gonna be about 6ft tall, 8'2 wide and about 10ft long. so im thinking of 6 legs, 3x10ft lengths and 3x8'2 lengths if that makes sense.but i dont want legs down the middle only around the side, so the spans will be as abhove 10ft and 8'2. hope that makes sense im crap at explaining this sort of thing. cheers mike
  25. errr don tknow yet, whats the difference? itll be the galved stuff not the old ungalved stuff, other than that dont know. is there much difference, im just after a rough guide
