  1. 2 days about 400 quid plus extra for medical etc. probably best thing would be to phone some railway agencies and see if they can help you
  2. No more pics. Yep should of bin dog toothed, but more of a case of the guy pulling getting told to drive off too soon!! Of about 30 that I felled on that stretch that's the only one that really went wrong. Don't think I've got any more pics, railway butchery at it's best!!
  3. not exactly a hinge shot but thought id put it up anyway
  4. anyone lost a 150 recent? timberwolf wood chipper on eBay (end time 26-Aug-10 17:37:32 BST)
  5. No terms as such but there was a due date on it. Distance he is away from me rules out going round. Cheers for replies, given me some good pointers.
  6. has that broke the spring u bolts or something? the rear axle looks too close to the front one
  7. cheers arbgirl ill have a look at that. i did a lot of work for him and was ok, on the grapevine ive heard hes owed a lot of money himself, wouldnt mind if he said he was owed and could i wait.
  8. no mate not chris balls. yeah they were good machines hitachi cg40's if i remember right. took about a 4 ton load, swivel bodies etc. nearly got one stuck on the moors once, really glad i didnt would of bin a right pig to get out.
  9. i was only there as a cutter so no waste etc, i dont wanna go down this route but cant see any other way of getting my money. hes also about 200 miles away so id rather not go down to see him. im sick of wasting time trying to get it, writing a letter is another 20 mins of my life i shouldnt need to spend chasing it, infact the more i think about it the more annoyed i get. cheers for replies
  10. im owed 180 quid from a guy i worked for, i invoiced it two months ago and have been blagged with various excuses etc since. just wondering if anyone has used these debt collection agencies? how much do they charge etc. i know its not a massive amount of money but its mine all the same.
  11. whats a govy job? im a subbie, this is just a job i got myself, one or two bits may just need lowering off and id rather have someone there in case. stephen, no fraid not its a guy i used to work for, i was driving the dumper at the time, its the only time ive worn a seatbelt in a machine, tho it did show how strong railway sleepers are.
  12. the landy will be an ex quarry vehicle, so itll be a lot of off road use in that 47k.
  13. yeah cheers guys, as helpful as ever!! haha mick, just seeing if anyone on here wants a bit of beer money at the weekend, probably two hours at most, if i cant get anyone ill do it myself as the meercat says, simples!
  14. ive got both, railway can be good as im findig at the moment but it can also be really bad, try smashing up bramble with a saw for half a mile. but money can be ok. i wouldnt bother with pts without getting work, im 99% sure you have to be sponsored anyway. cscs is about 40-50 quid all in, sit an exam on health and safety and apply for a card, easy. its worth doing for the cost, though ive never got any work from it, better having than not.
  15. Hi guys might have half a days work coming up in Bolton, won't be anything interesting just dragging. It will be a sat if it happens probably next weekend. Pm me if your unterested with how much you want. Cheers mike
  16. having had a proper look on google there does seem to be a very varied price on said item so perhaps it is purely reason above. just shows how much to shop around, even for arb type stuff
  17. Yeah I know about economies of scale etc, but can that really lead to such a price difference on an item at this price level? Ok 10 quid perhaps but not double surely?
  18. im not really wanting to say but the lower price was screwfix
  19. ive seen two things recently sold at arb shops online that seemed overly priced, one was £40+ while it could be found for £22 they are identical products. So do these shops make up selling some things cheaper by selling some stuff dearer. this isnt a dig at any shops just interested in the possible reasons.
  20. Cheers rob. Think I'm sorted for work now, for 6 months at least. Let us know just in case tho.
